I keep hearing about the Book of 1st Enoch. I realize that there’s multiple authors when we get into 2nd & 3rd Enoch, so I’m specifically asking about 1st Enoch.
I hasten to say that I realize that it has some historical value, but is there a work that solidly demonstrates (factually) why it isn’t canonical?
This is NOT to begin a discussion about the cannon inasmuch as I’m familiar with these issues—and I’m also aware of Wes Huff’s info. on this topic.
I’m also aware that Dr. Heiser spoke about it often & have listened to some of his discussions about it, but I keep seeing this subject bandied about on YouTube by non-scholars & just wanted to inquire (note: I do own a copy of Enoch so I’m not here to disparage it, just saying).
Just wondering if there’s anything in Logos that specifically addresses this topic?
