A suggestion regarding the Verbum blog and Catholic content updates

I’d like to offer a small suggestion regarding the Verbum website and homepage/dashboard.

Right now, the Verbum blog looks abandoned. The latest post seems to be from May 2025, almost a year ago, and the same post keeps appearing on the Verbum homepage/dashboard. I think this gives a bad impression, as if Verbum itself were stagnant.

Something similar happens, at least from my perspective, with the flow of new Catholic Verbum resources and publications. The list of new releases feels rather slow and behind. As a Verbum user, I would really like to see more vitality around the platform: more updates, more Catholic resources, and a stronger sense that Verbum is actively growing and being cared for.

So my suggestion is simple: if the blog is no longer going to be updated, perhaps it would be better to remove it from the website and dashboard. And more broadly, I would love to see Verbum show more signs of life in the area of Catholic content and communication.

I say this as someone who truly values Verbum and wants to see it flourish.

I try to keep an upbeat point of view most of the time, and see little point in fantasizing darkly about a future that hasn't come yet and maybe never will. But I must admit that I am concerned by what seems like a trend, these days, of Logos focusing mostly on their Evangelical/Protestant base and withdrawing some, at least, of their former investment in Catholic, Orthodox and other Churches. I'm Orthodox, not Catholic, but I am grateful for the many Catholic resources available on Logos, and have purchased and read many. I, too, will be sad if Verbum languishes and dwindles, and if few Orthodox resources get added in the future.

One thing I have really loved about Logos is this broad range of Christian resources from which we all can learn. I have learned from Catholic writers, Evangelical writers, and some others, and I would think that many Evangelical Logos users might find some things to learn from in resources oriented toward Orthodox and Catholic interests as well.

@Alejandro Sada I agree with you in seeing some neglect of Verbum recently. Nevertheless, it seems that there are still plans to publish Catholic authors. For example, there are pre-pubs of v.Balthasar or de Lubac.
