The short answer is it is not fixed in beta six. In known cases, this actually has to do with some side effects of note editing which need to be optimized. That work is currently planned for a future beta. Some helpful info if you can provide it:

At least in this you have feature parity with Windows. We have the same problem. I type fast, but not that fast.
