Another vote for Android Apps

Just wanted to be another person urging the development of Android apps and user-friendly interfaces. I can't seem to get the Hebrew fonts to display when I open BHS and most of the Greek texts are garbled as well. Interesting, because on other sites such as SBL, I don't have any problems with those fonts. Thanks

Yes, another vote for Android. The market share growth rate shows it's the future of smart phones..

another 'me too' for the android - other than logos not missing AT&T and the iphone...

Android app is a must! Please end the iPhone sacrilege (just jealous). [8-|]

I'm now on the "me too" bandwagon, now that I've read that Android has surged past iPhone to capture 28% market share. It looks like it's on a trajectory to knock BlackBerry out of first place before too long: http://techland.com/2010/05/10/android-rockets-past-iphone-to-snag-28-market-share/

Me too. Although I love my iPod Touch. I decided to stick with TMobile and get an Android phone. I really like it.
Library.logos.com works well for most things (original language a little messed up) but we're missing extra features of the iPhone app.
When Logos gets to it, I would love to have an android app (please make highlighting and notetaking a priority [:D])

I stand with those who believe that the Android platform will settle in as champion in this fight for mobile supremacy. With the tremendous increase in memory/ storage (40Gb on the Droid X) as well as the development of well over 100,000 applications, this appears to be the future of mobile devices. If you are developing the Android platform, great. Just don't decide not to support it as it would be a travesty to all those who use it.
Besides, I don't want to change my nickname on the Android forums. [;)]

You might want to change your display name so your email address doesn't get picked up by spam-bots. Follow the instructions carefully; the forum software is pretty nitpicky: Changing Forum Display Name

If you have not yet taken the survey we have set up which deals specifically with which app you would like to see us develop next, taking this survey is the best way to let your voice be heard instead of on the forums. This is because the results of the survey can be easily compiled and viewed so we know what the most requested app is.
Thank you!

Me too... I want a Logos android app. Sooner rather than later. Their software is great but sure does seem like they are catering only to the mac/pc platform. Im not going to wait around for years, Ill find something that works well and go with it even if its multiple apps.
Does Logos work on the IPOD Touch?
Ive been using olive tree on my android and while its great I need more and Logos has the data.
If anyone knows of a really good bible study app for the android Id be interested.
Thanks

While you wait, don't forget that http://library.logos.comworks great on the android.

yes!! Why only IPhone?

Because they had to start somewhere. But they are not staying there. :-)emorphis said:yes!! Why only IPhone?
By all appearances Android will be the next full app for Logos (Personally I'd prefer a Blackberry app.).
In the interim take a look at http://library.logos.com on your smartphone (android included).
Also, you may want to Change your Forum Display Name from your email address to something else. Spambots will harvest your email and send you more junk email than you can imagine.

It may be inevitable but I would love an Android app as well!

As someone who had previously asked for a Windows Mobile solution and who makes their living writing Microsoft.Net applications I have to change course and cast my lot with the Android crowd. Microsoft's new course for Windows 7 has been and will continue to be an absolute disaster. Apps are not backward compatible and lots of previously working fuctions are being dropped. The market is not going to wait until Windows 8 for this to be corrected in 2012. As such the Android platform will continue devouring all other device makers market share. In looking at new devices the Sprint HTC EVO is actually beating the iPhone. Recent survey's show Android is taking no prisoners and Apple is losing ground as well.
Please make an Android version since I expect the platform will be around for a long time and I would love to have logos on my device.

Ordered my Droid X last Thursday, so I'm hoping Android is the next platform for Logos.

Count my vote for Android too.

I am leaning towards Driod X and would love to see Logos app for it. I think that the fact that it supports Flash (unlike some "smartphone") will be a bigger positive then a negitive when it comes to building app.

I am thinking about getting Driod X and would also love to access my LOGOs lib. I the mean time I will check out olive tree. Thanks.Btw, have you heard about eSword?

I have taken the survey and would love to see a Logos app for Android devices.

This is pretty definitive promise of an Android app. I think I know what I'm looking at now.....

That appears to be very promising news for us Android users. I purchased my first Android phone about two months ago and am very pleased. A Logos app would be the icing on the cake. I can almost taste it [^]

I just received my Droid X and look forward to a Logos app. The Droid X can be expanded to 40 gig of memory. Compared to the old PDAs that is enormous.

Adding my voice to the many asking for an android logos app . . . pretty pretty please with sugar on top?

I, too, cast my vote for Android.
But I also want to cast a vote for WP7 (Windows Phone 7). It was just released to manufacturing, so we should see WP7 phones before Christmas. WP7 looks to be a solid smart phone OS, and since its Windows, it shouldn't take the genius programmers at Logos very long to make a port for it.
LOVE ALL THE OPTIONS!!
P.S. I also vote for them to get bibila.com fleshed out sooner rather than later!

Latest results show Android growing in market share of smartphones while RIM is going backwards. Let's get Logos App on Android!

As was suggested, it wasn't formal but if you follow Logos employee twitter feeds you can't help but learn a few things here or there.

Ah, I see. I don't do Twitter.
Not here the darkness, in this twittering world.
Descend lower, descend only
Into the world of perpetual solitude,
World not world, but that which is not world,
Internal darkness, deprivation
And destitution of all property,
Dessication of the world of sense,
Evacuation of the world of fancy,
Inoperancy of the world of spirit;
This is the one way, and the other
Is the same, not in movement
But abstention from movememnt; while the world moves
In appetency, on its metalled ways
Of time past and time future.(T.S. Eliot, Four Quartets)

LOL, just so everyone knows, I am not a Logos employee. I was just fishing for information. Either there is something in the works, OR Dan is just having a lot of fun with us.

That's sneaky but very smart. I probably should be, too. I can read people's Twitter feeds without having an account. I just found this intriguing one from @philgons:
Logos site doesn't make this mistake.
I can't wait for that new Logos site!!!
Sorry, I know. Off topic.
