Does typing in the command box guarantee or imply success

When I type in Set sync to no in the command box , see it in the dropdown and I select it, I am used to hitting Enter with every other application I have and then getting some kind of confirmation that I succeeded. In v. 4 when I type in Set sync to no, I don't know if I succeeded or not. Do I take it for granted? I sure would like some kind of pop up or other indication it worked. (So, to ensure that it worked, I found Settings under Tools and ticked the box No to using the internet; perhaps, there is more than one way to accomplish the same purpose.) Thanks!

Why not insert a nice Green Checkmark in the command box for a successful command? It's subtle for those that don't care and yet visible for those that care.

You'll know whether Sync is turned on or off by whether the Sync symbol (rotating arrows) is visible on the right side of the main toolbar or not (to the left of Layouts). With Use Internet set to 'No', the sync option will be turned off by default and cannot be turned on.

Thanks, Melissa, call me old-fashioned but I kind of like the big green check mark that Pastor Black drew. Or something after every command in the same box. It would make life easier.

I'd sure like it, especially with the Scan command which gives no feedback of success or not. You have to know to close Logos and open it back up again. I'd love a wee little message somewhere saying that something happened and that I need to do something in order for something else to happen.

I often find myself re-entering a command again because I not convinced the system taken any notice of what I have entered. A visual confirmation would be great.

I just realized I added something to a really old thread from the Private Beta. I don't know why it suddenly showed up in the Recent Topics as unread. Weird. I never look in that forum anymore, and nobody had touched this thread in over a year.

EDIT: OK, I think I know what happened. I must have clicked "Last" by mistake instead of "Next" when paging through the Recent Topics pages. Oops. Well, that doesn't invalidate the fact that I think this is a good suggestion, even if nobody is going to pay any attention to it here.

I just realized I added something to a really old thread from the Private Beta. I don't know why it suddenly showed up in the Recent Topics as unread. Weird. I never look in that forum anymore, and nobody had touched this thread in over a year.

I wasn't paying attention to the fact you had responded to a really old thread on Private Beta Forum. But it looks like your not alone in still thinking this would be a good idea, even if it is a year later.
