Of how many forum users have NOT ordered Gill because of the price?
It's free as a PBB and also in a two free Bible programs that are very popular. So, I have it now and am quite happy with it as is.
Judging by its pre-pub progress, evidently a lot.
I'm only interested in Gill's commentaries. They are nice to have as a reference. But 200 dollars is much more than it's worth to me. I would pay $50 max.
I'm a Spurgeon fan and he quotes Gill quite a bit when he wants to charm his congregation... And he's John Gill, so yeah I would bite if it wasn't so expensive.
Same here....would be nice to have .... but price is a bit too high to make it a must have in Logos format. I would have like to have seen this broken up on Community Pricing. The Ironside commentaries first came out as individual books on CP if I correctly remember. There maybe reasons why they couldn't do the same. ... they might become the Barne's of the Pre-Pub pages

To me, it's worth far more than the asking price and I have it on my pre-pub order. There is nothing in Logos that compares to it and it is the main reason I still use Logos 3 so much. I think it is one that Logos should bite the bullet on and produce anyway.
I'm in, but I hope it (or most of my other pre-pubs) don't ship for a long, long time. I have thousands of dollars that need to be spread over a few years. So, I'll be patient.

Thanks for the responses. Sure wish Logos would make it a CP project. If they go ahead and give us the improved PBB I've read about, I don't see this going into production for a loooooooog time!

Morgan cost $179.95, Gill 199.95 quite a deal. I'd be willing to pay twice as much to get it over the hump. 12,000 pages vs. 6000 pages. That's 6000 more pages for $20 more...

Of the the 89 pre-pubs I've signed up for:
14 have a shipping date
46 are under development
29 are gathering interest
- Of the 29 gathering interest, there are 17 having less than half the interest needed to move on to the next stage of the process
- of the bottom half 17, 13 are completely bogged down and even though I'm signed up to preorder them, I'm pretty sure they'll never make it out of "gathering interest" unless Logos forces them through.
- The Works of John Gill (21 Vols.) sits third from the bottom only having gathered more interest than 'Classic Commentaries and Studies on Pslams' and 'Words Remembered, Texts Renewed: Essays in Honour of John F. A. Sawyer'

I would have passed if the price only included his exposition of the Old and New Testaments. As it happens they're the only parts of this collection I really want, so I'm having to pay US$199 for them anyway, but I'm hoping to get something out of the other works.
Count me in on this. I paid $199 for just the commentary back in the 1980s.
I can't see paying $200.00 when I have all of Gill's Commentaries plus:
Body of Practical Divinity
Body of Doctrinal Divinity
Exposition of Song Of Solomon
Cause of God and Truth
Prophecies of the Old Testament respecting the Messiah
all FREE PBB downloads.
