Jerry, at one time there was a Dallas based Logos rep. He began to organize Libronix users into groups based on their location. I believe that one was established for Tarrant County, but I don't think that anything came of the Dallas and Collins groups. You have the Library two steps above mine, but as they taught us at Camp Logos, the basics are all the same: Click "Go," and watch the program work. I am doing so many things right now, Jerry, that I can't commit to anything else, However, I saw that 75 people had looked at your post without responding, and that really bothered me since you were looking for help and information. Have you looked at the tutorials on the web page? They are nothing like going to Camp Logos where one is right there with the tutor, but they do help. My favorite feature of Libronix are the "Workspace buttons." I have built several different workspaces with multiple windows as well as just individual books. I simply hit "Open Workspace," and my list of workspaces pops up. I click on the one I want, and away I go. I also use it for individual books that I am reading, because this allows me to open the book without going to "My Library." What we really need to do is to get Landon from Logos to leave the Northwest and move down here. He does an excellent job of explaining the features of the software. Sorry, I can't join you right now, Jerry.
Hello Jerry,
I live in Dallas. I have enjoyed building a library of resources to encourage my study of Scripture. I do not have a knowledge of the various tools for language study.
i am a recovering from a stroke and have limited mobility. I do have time to learn together if that is any interest to you. God Bless you,
Bobby

Perhaps that is because many of us who looked at Jerry's post do not live near Dallas. For me, the quickest way to wade through all the unread posts is to Command-Click on them and then click the close box (Safari using a Mac), Sometimes, I pause to read, as I did with this one.

Thanks for you reply and everyone else who replied. I would maybe like to sit down with you and see all the workspaces you have created and the book spaces you have made up and maybe that might help me. Just let me know?
Jerry,
Let me know of a way ( email, phone) to contact you and we can move forward together.
Jerry, I live in Duncanville. I'm out of town on business a lot, but i would be happy to work with you when I'm back if you haven't found any one. I wouldn't consider myself a super-duper power user, but I know enough to be dangerous. There used to be a Logos users group in this area (near Ft Worth) - I'll try to see if they're still meeting.
Also, I would highly recommend attending one of Morris Procter's Camp Logos Seminars - I think he will be in the Dallas Area in Feb.
I also have Logos 3 Gold, but planning to upgrade to Logos 4 Platinum shortly. I'll give you a call...
Otto
Hey Jerry,
I am in Garland. If we get enough people together we can have the Dallas rep come spend some time with us and show us features and whatnot. They especially are interested in doing this if people have yet to upgrade to 4 or don't have Logos at all. Let me know anyone else interested and I can set it up and would even be willing to host it at my place. -Jason
Yea I know I've been talking to somebody already about this very thing. But I would be interested in starting a user group here in the DFW area. I have a few friends who use Logos and maybe you know people and maybe somebody else knows somebody. So lets see if we can make this happen.
You might check out the Logos User's Group on Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=7476966260
There are over 700 registered members there. You might register and ask your question there.
Jason and Jerry and all other interested: I live in Garland, Tx as well and would like to get together for training. I have the gold in Logos 3 and 4 and have been through Camp logos several times. I have been a Logos user almost from the beginning. Send me you contact info and we will get together. Email me at johnbrumett@bigplanet.com. Hopefull I can be of some help.
I have been away for a while and have recently returned. I would like to attend a Logos user group in the Dallas area. I did discuss meeting with Jerry at a site near the downtown Dallas area. I am bobbygilpin@mac.com. I believe we can use the library at DTS on Live Oak near Washington.
Garland would also work for me if there is wheelchair access.
I'm in Tyler, TX and come to Dallas Seminary about 1-2x a month
Ross, I also live in Tyler and would love to meet for coffee or something in town and maybe we can share our Logos knowledge. I have very little because I just jumped on board in November, but maybe you can show me a thing or two? Let me know. My email is: charlesg.long (at) gmail.com.
Thanks,
Charles
Hey All...I know it's been a while but I'm the Logos rep in Dallas. Anyone interested in getting a users group up and running?
You might want to start by going to the wiki and working you way through the Table of Contents pages and working through the examples. Perhaps that would get you started on understanding how to use the program.
Also Morris Proctor has manuals that you can purchase which should also help.
Here is link to his site with the manuals.
It looks like Logos may now have his manuals available for purchase from them (think this is the paper edition)
Manual 1 Manual 2
Blessings!
I've been a silent partner up until now. I've decided to break my silence code and start talking!
JMurf,
I live in Plano and I am very interested. I have had Logos for many years but know I have never begun to tap the capabilities of the software for my Bible study and lesson preparation.
Right now I am struggling because I have converted to the Mac version and then upgraded to Snow Leopard (MAC OS X 10.6.4) and my Logos software will no longer even load. I'm searching the Logos websites and user forums for help but haven't found any yet.

This is an old thread, but I am interested in any Logos 5 user group near the Dallas / Fort Worth Metroplex.
