FYI - Laptop Scrolling is NOW Working (for me, at least)
Like many on the forum, I haven't been able to use my laptop's touchpad for scrolling in Logos 4. I just updated the driver and now it's working beautifully. I have a Dell Studio XPS with Windows 7 64-bit, so I went to Dell's "drivers and downloads" site (where you go will depend on your laptop manufacturer, etc. - obviously).
The updated driver info is as follows:
Synaptics Driver
Version: 15.0.18
Date: 6/16/10 (this was the date listed on download site, but once installed the date read 4/22/10 - either way, it's newer than 2009)

Pardon my ignorance, but how do you scroll with a touch pad, what combination of things do you do? Trying to see if mine works or not...thanks!

I own a Sony Vaio and the scrolling worked out of the box. I just left and right click simultaneously.

I believe he's talking about stroking the edge of the trackpad in order to scroll along.

Dominick, you can scroll through webpages, documents, etc. by pressing and running your finger along the right edge of the touchpad (top to bottom). Try it first on a webpage or something to see how it works, then try it in Logos.

Center click scrolling (achieved as you suggest by clicking L & R at the same time) is different than the above. It create's an Icon like this one

No worries. Synaptics is the hardware maker for a large number of trackpads. They then offer a predefined driver to OEM's who customize the drivers to fit their application. It just happens that AFAIK the Dell XPS driver was one of the first with a functioning side scroll/stroke capacity for WPF programs like L4.

I did get the update a few months back and was so geeked to be able to scroll with the touchpad . . . I share your enthusiasm! I still almost can't believe I can scroll with it--everytime I use it, i remember NOT being able to!
Anybody remember the problem in Libronix when scrolling with the touchpad would make all your highlights invisible? ahhh, golden days are indeed here!!
