Dual usage possible?

I use a MacBook with a dual boot system. My Mac runs Mac OS 10 X 10.6.4. My second bootable disk run Windows 7 Home Premium. My Question: Will running Logos 4.0a for the Mac and Logos 4 for Windows create problems? Will there be syncing problems?

While I have not done it, I do not foresee any problems. This will look like two separate instances of Logos running on two separate machines. Everything should sync perfectly fine between the two just as if you were running Logos4 on two separate computers: A mac and a pc.

This setup will require twice the hard drive space, however. Logos4 Mac and Logos4 Windows will each have copies of all resources and user files. If you are ok with this extra hard drive space usage, there shouldn't be any problems with your proposed setup.

I have L4 Win running under Parallels XP and L4 Mac on the same computer. No problems. It is especially nice to have your collections etc sync to both programs. Let me know if you have any questions or problems.

Potentially yes - some issues have occurred in past (e.g notes - alpha release notes had appropriate warnings). Also depends on Logos 4 versions on Mac and Windows (e.g. stable vis beta channel).

Observation: can create handouts on Windows that appears in search results on Mac with nothing to click - no harm done - know handout sync'd to Mac, but not usable (looking forward to revamped handout feature).

Similar risk potential between stable and beta versions on WIndows => mentioned on Wiki page http://wiki.logos.com/The_Logos_4_Beta_Program => Potential risk: non-backward compatible changes may not sync to stable release – worse, could cause stable release issues (Logos development team valiantly attempts to keep stable release free from beta corruption).

Personally have set Logos 4 update channel to Beta on iMac, virtual machine (also on iMac), and laptop - sync between 3 Logos 4 beta installations usually works fine [8-|]
