Question about Hermeneia

(I am using the Joel/Amos volume currently) I have noticed that following all Bible references there is an asterisk. When I hover over the asterisk the pop-up gives me the text to the verse and then the designation "NRSV". Yet when I click on the pop-up it sends me to my preferred text (in this case, ESV) and not the NRSV. However, as expected, when I click on the verse in the text it also takes me to that chapter and verse in my preferred text.

Any reasons or ideas for the inconsistency/differences?

This is an unusual feature for sure. This is the only resource/set of resources that I know of in Logos that has this 'bonus feature.' If I had to guess why it is there I'd guess that Augsburg/Fortress wanted links to the NRSV and Logos wanted to keep links working as they usually do. The compromise was to add the NRSV text through an asterisk and available only as a pop-up.

There is no inconsistency once you realize that the asterisk always pops up the NRSV text (it acts like footnote text when you click on it), and Bible references always pop up and jump to your highest prioritized Bible.

Except that when you click the reference inside the pop-up, it takes you to the text in your preferred Bible, not the NRSV.

Right. I noticed that, too. In some ways that is consistent with the way everything else in Logos works, however, the reference text leads you to believe you will be taken to the NRSV. Perhaps how it behaves is not what was intended. In Logos' defense that might have required a new type of data link (version specific), and they didn't see the need. Data links now all seem to look for highest prioritized resource of that data type. Don't know. Maybe if someone from Logos sees this thread they can tell us whether this is working as it is supposed to.

I reckon it looks like a tagging bug. The bible references within the * footnotes have been tagged as bible references, but should link explicitly to the NRSV...
