Another vote for Android Apps

Just wanted to be another person urging the development of Android apps and user-friendly interfaces. I can't seem to get the Hebrew fonts to display when I open BHS and most of the Greek texts are garbled as well. Interesting, because on other sites such as SBL, I don't have any problems with those fonts. Thanks

Yes, another vote for Android.  The market share growth rate shows it's the future of smart phones..

    Robert,

Brother, you are right on point--Android is here to stay-- and it only make since to make an Android Apps for my Droid X or any smart phone.

another 'me too' for the android - other than logos not missing AT&T and the iphone...

Android app is a must!  Please end the iPhone sacrilege (just jealous).  [8-|]

I'm now on the "me too" bandwagon, now that I've read that Android has surged past iPhone to capture 28% market share. It looks like it's on a trajectory to knock BlackBerry out of first place before too long: http://techland.com/2010/05/10/android-rockets-past-iphone-to-snag-28-market-share/

Me too. Although I love my iPod Touch. I decided to stick with TMobile and get an Android phone. I really like it.

Library.logos.com works well for most things (original language a little messed up) but we're missing extra features of the iPhone app.

When Logos gets to it, I would love to have an android app (please make highlighting and notetaking a priority [:D])

My son and I are both Logos users and we both have Android phones, their market share is exploding.

I stand with those who believe that the Android platform will settle in as champion in this fight for mobile supremacy.   With the tremendous increase in memory/ storage (40Gb on the Droid X) as well as the development of well over 100,000 applications, this appears to be the future of mobile devices.  If you are developing the Android platform, great.  Just don't decide not to support  it as it would be a travesty to all those who use it.

Besides, I don't want to change my nickname on the Android forums.  [;)]

I vote for an app for android, too.

You might want to change your display name so your email address doesn't get picked up by spam-bots. Follow the instructions carefully; the forum software is pretty nitpicky: Changing Forum Display Name

Another me to... I've been looking at the iPad mostly because of L4 app, but would prefer the Android.[Y]

Me too... I want a Logos android app. Sooner rather than later. Their software is great but sure does seem like they are catering only to the mac/pc platform. Im not going to wait around for years, Ill find something that works well and go with it even if its multiple apps.

Does Logos work on the IPOD Touch?

Ive been using olive tree on my android and while its great I need more and Logos has the data.

If anyone knows of a really good bible study app for the android Id be interested.

    Thanks

While you wait, don't forget that http://library.logos.comworks great on the android.

Hmm Sarcasm is my love language. Obviously I love you.

I am thinking about getting Driod X and would also love to access my LOGOs lib. I the mean time I will check out olive tree. Thanks.Btw, have you heard about eSword?

    yes!! Why only IPhone?

    yes!! Why only IPhone?
Because they had to start somewhere.  But they are not staying there.  :-)

By all appearances Android will be the next full app for Logos (Personally I'd prefer a Blackberry app.).

In the interim take a look at http://library.logos.com on your smartphone (android included).

Also, you may want to Change your Forum Display Name from your email address to something else.  Spambots will harvest your email and send you more junk email than you can imagine.

Hmm Sarcasm is my love language. Obviously I love you.

It may be inevitable but I would love an Android app as well!

This is pretty definitive promise of an Android app. I think I know what I'm looking at now.....

.Amazon's new cell phone store is pretty slick. Can't wait for the new @Logos Bible Software Android app http://bit.ly/bcDYXW.

Hmm Sarcasm is my love language. Obviously I love you.

As someone who had previously asked for a Windows Mobile solution and who makes their living writing Microsoft.Net applications I have to change course and cast my lot with the Android crowd.  Microsoft's new course for Windows 7 has been and will continue to be an absolute disaster.  Apps are not backward compatible and lots of previously working fuctions are being dropped.  The market is not going to wait until Windows 8 for this to be corrected in 2012.  As such the Android platform will continue devouring all other device makers market share.  In looking at new devices the Sprint HTC EVO is actually beating the iPhone.  Recent survey's show Android is taking no prisoners and Apple is losing ground as well.

Please make an Android version since I expect the platform will be around for a long time and I would love to have logos on my device.

Ordered my Droid X last Thursday, so I'm hoping Android is the next platform for Logos.

Count my vote for Android too.

count me in for Android Apps

I have taken the survey and would love to see a Logos app for Android devices.

You can count me in as well!!

Adding my voice to the many asking for an android logos app . . . pretty pretty please with sugar on top?

I, too, cast my vote for Android.

But I also want to cast a vote for WP7 (Windows Phone 7). It was just released to manufacturing, so we should see WP7 phones before Christmas. WP7 looks to be a solid smart phone OS, and since its Windows, it shouldn't take the genius programmers at Logos very long to make a port for it.

    LOVE ALL THE OPTIONS!!

P.S. I also vote for them to get bibila.com fleshed out sooner rather than later!

Latest results show Android growing in market share of smartphones while RIM is going backwards.  Let's get Logos App on Android!

Windows PC - Android Phone - Surface Pro 4

No need for more votes.  it's coming.

Hmm Sarcasm is my love language. Obviously I love you.

Count me in for Android too!

I am another one who voted for Android app, or even BB (when I had it). I don't think we need to hold our breath until Logos finally releases an app for other than Apple's jewel. For over a year I have been suggesting to Logos to give us an app. The web browser version is what they come up with -- which doesn't hold a candle to the IPhone app.

I thought that with all the requests from users, they would of at least gave us a Beta.

I vote for Logos finishing the iPxx app first before investing in yet another.

    Me too! Hurry!

    [Y][:D]

How many Android phones have been sold worldwide?

    8,450,420.

There have been a total of 8,450,420 Android phones sold since its
release in October 2008 up until the end of 2009. This is based on a
report published by the market research firm Canalys on February 8,
2010. In 2009 Android phones made up only 4.7% of the total market share
for OS vendors of smart phone.

    !!tanks!!

    [:)]

    YESSSS!!

I thought they were going to stick with their original plan to use a mobile site as a web app for all other devices other than iPhone.

I like Library.Logos.com but with the features I see on the iPhone version, there seems to be more flexibility for features on a native Android app.

So a BIG "THANK YOU" to this dev team. This is the one and ONLY app I keep going to back to the iPhone to use. Once they got a native Andoid app, I will be advertising like crazy, as I love Logos and especially the mobile versions of my Library and Bible study.

    Just PLEASE hurry...I'm getting antsy/anxious!! :-p

    Yes!

    Thank you!

I also can't wait to see the availability of the Android App.  I would LOVE to be a beta tester!

Yes, PLEASE, for Android Apps! [Y]

Android fans rejoice! We made great progress on @Logos for Android this week! Can't wait to ship this thing! 5 Feb
That should excite you Android fans.  (and me too if I ever get an android.)

Hmm Sarcasm is my love language. Obviously I love you.

I am ready and waiting with my EVO in hand

Just curious... ~ 2 weeks after the encouraging tweet about Android progress.  Any beta testing that is going to happen or any idea of when we might see the Android app?  Looking regularly in my Market and waiting patiently to have my favorite tool/resources available on my favorite device!

Sorry John, you won't see any kind of hard date till it's already released.  At least I hope not.  A small delay would blow up in their face if Logos issued a "we think it will be done by....." date.

Hmm Sarcasm is my love language. Obviously I love you.

Count me in for the Beta Test as well.

Just went with the android platform today over the iphone.  How much longer shall we wait?  Days, weeks, months, or years!?
