Spirit Filled Life Bible vs SFL Study Bible

Can someone tell me the difference between the SFL Bible and the SFL Study Bible. I have the latter and am wondering what's different about the former, which is on pre-pub today; and if I should consider it.

I guess it is an updated version. Whether or not you get it is your call. I bought the old one in July and would rather have this one, but the older one will have to do.

Richard, I think it is an updated version. The original one (although called by Logos SFL Study Bible) actually is also SFL Bible (see the cover).
EDIT: I can't confirm it, since my print version is in the office, but it looks they use the name interchangeably.

Just ordered it. Pastor Jack used to be my pastor for over nine years when I lived in Los Angeles...Love him.

Yes, but I was referring to the old version cover which says also just Spirit-Filled Life Bible. However inside the book there is a title SFL Study Bible and also the other one: SFL Bible.

This is the book info with the one that came with my eBible package.
P.S. BTW, the copy of eBible which contain a lot of books was cheaper that the price on the link you posted.
EDIT: the one i have is laid out like other Study Bibles (e.g. ESVSB) that Logos sells. This print edition preview on the first link you showed has pages like you see in print versions (Bible text with notes underneath). But i would guess that that version too would not include the Bible text. If you want i can post a page from the edition that i have, just let me know.

I have the SFL Study Bible as well. I just wondered if the SFL Bible was different and what was different about it. Comparing what I have with the display pages, format and some content is different in the first few verses of Genesis 1.
So far we have some good guesses as to what the differences might be, but no one seems to know what all the differences might be.
It would be helpful if Logos said what was new about this resource, since they also sell the other on their web site. Will it include the graphics as displayed on the display page? Will it include the Bible text (which version)? Will it be formatted as a study Bible? In what other ways (if any) is it different from the currently sold SFL Study Bible?

why isn't this being treated as a update for those that already own this study bible? should this be treated like a completely brand new study bible? why?

Whether or not Logos could do this is probably up to Nelson publishing.

I did some research on Amazon.
Several reviewers said that they thought that the Kingdom Dynamic notes were more practical and relevant in the old version. Given that fact, I am glad that they are not treating it like an update. I will keep my old version and be happy with that.

Here is the description of The New Spirit Filled Life Study Bible given on another website:
Product Description
Building on the wide acceptance and trustworthiness of the Spirit-Filled Life® Bible, Jack Hayford has led a team of anointed leaders to produce the New Spirit-Filled Life® Bible, which offers a fresh look at the Scriptures and the work of the Holy Spirit. Loaded with new content from new contributors and including some material from the previous Spirit-Filled Life® Bible, this new edition addresses important issues of Spirit-filled living in the context of solid biblical scholarship. Readers will be glad to see the popular "Word Wealth" feature and the "Kingdom Dynamics" feature throughout the Bible.
Among others, the new Kingdom Dynamics include: "Christlikeness of Character" by Fuchsia Pickett, "Shepherding Amid the Supernatural" by Billy Joe Daugherty, "Keys to Cultivate a Woman's Effectiveness" by Jane Hansen, and "The Ministry of Reconciliation" by Bill McCartney and Raleigh Washington. In addition, a number of original Kingdom Dynamics have been retained, including: "Kingdom of God" by Jack Hayford and "Faith's Warfare" by Dick Eastman.
A new generation of believers seeking to become biblically equipped for kingdom building will eagerly read and embrace the New Spirit-Filled Life Bible®. In fact, anyone who has used and loved the Spirit-Filled Life® Bible will want this new edition, full of fresh insight from many of today's most respected leaders.
Contributors include: Barbara Amos, Bishop Charles Blake, Reinhard Bonnke, Paul Cedar, Billy Joe Daugherty, Joy Dawson, Steve Fry, Joseph Garlington, Jane Hansen, Jack Hayford, Marilyn Hickey, Freda Lindsay, Bill McCartney, Lloyd Ogilvie, Fuchsia Pickett, Carlton Pearson, Bishop Kenneth Ulmer, and many others.
One reviewer said the following:
The good news is the commentary, word studies, and book notes duplicate the first edition. Some of the articles of the original make a second appearance - like the excellent article on understanding the end times. The center column cross-references and notes are very useful along with the maps at the end of the bible. These things continue to make the SFLB a useful and balanced teaching tool for believers.
Where the revision really suffers is in the new articles.
Pat Robertson's outstanding 15-page essay "Spirit Answers to Hard Questions" was dropped.
In its place are offerings on world evangelism, healing nations, understanding Messanic Jewish Ministry, and How to lead a Person to the Savior. Of these, the last one is the only one with practical value - after all, few of us will be conducting world evangelism, nation healing, or outreaches to Messianic Jewry. These themes admittedly have real value to the Body of Christ - but is the limited space available in the Spirit-filled Life Bible the best place for them? Are believers really getting the best bang for their buck? Not in my opinion.
The articles feel more like Spirit-filled political correctness than discipleship and that takes its toll on the new edition. No longer is it the hard hitting, one-volume, discipleship manual for Charismatics that the first edition was. Sorry to say this, but I'm sending mine back.
I post this hoping to help those who are considering making the purchase of the New Spirit Filled Life Study Bible. Given my research, at this point I think that I am going to let this one pass.
