How many times do i need to leave a comment?

This is not the first time this has happened to me, but I have left 3 comments on this post http://blog.logos.com/archives/2011/01/camp_logos_is_coming_to_london.html (all the same) and the comment has never appeared.

All I want to know is if there is any chance of this seminar coming to Australia in the near future? Is that really that offensive a question? Should I be taking this rejection personally? Have I offended Jayson Bradley? Wink

Sorry about that. Jayson's been out sick with pneumonia, so he's a little behind with blog-related stuff. It's also possible that our SPAM filter is being overly aggressive. I can assure you that your comment isn't being intentionally ignored.

Thanks for the comment. Sadly, I have been under the
weather and this is the first time I have been in the office since I
have returned. I am sure I have a ton of comments waiting to be sorted through.

As anyone who has tried to leave a comment at blog.Logos.com knows, we have to approve every comment manually because we get so much SPAM. I mean, I will get a couple hundred SPAM comments a day and the the SPAMMERS are getting better. At first glance it seems like the commenter has actually read the blog. So, it takes a while to go through and delete them.

After the SPAM, we get a lot of customer service related comments that are unrelated—or vaguely related—to the blog post they are attached to. We definitely want to help everyone with the issues that they are having but these ones are kind of time consuming as there is usually a lot of follow up and back-n-forth that needs to be done. These are good and important questions, but often best for venues like the forum where you can get a quick response or—if you need—a call to our customer service department. We get to those as quickly as we can but they often can take a while.

Lastly, the blog is not the same kind of venue as the forum and therefore monitored with different criteria. Generally we just don't add negative comments because the blog isn't the best place to have the kind of back and forth discussion that the forum allows.

Your question about a seminar in Australia falls under none of these categories Mark. It was a great question that just came in on a difficult week. We have been working hard on getting those blog comments cleared out and responded to daily. I apologize that your comment added to yesterday's blog post didn't make it up yesterday.

Phil is correct, MP Seminars is going to have the best idea of what might be in the works. I am going to go work on Fridays blog post, and then see about getting those comments cleared out.

it has happened before and I appreciate that all of you are busy. i was just starting to wonder. [:)]

I have emailed mp before and all they have said is that they need 30 or 40 participants. out of my league to organise something but would love a course.

That explains my situation, too, I imagine. Immediately after the blog reminding of the Bible College scholarships, I posted a blog comment because the "Apply Now" links were resulting in 404 Not Found errors (albeit to a nice-looking error page). I never could get to the Apply Now page before the deadline came and went.

I apologize for the comment and application issues. Being the one who posted the Last Chance to Enter Scholarship Giveaways: $1,000 for Seminary or Bible College Tuition blog entry, I would have been the one to receive your comment, however, I haven't seen any comments come through from that posting—at all. I have just rechecked my messages, but I don't see anything.

Is it possible for you to send me the blog comment confirmation you would have received? I'd like to check it with our database to see when it would have been posted and to figure out if this is happening with other comments too. Hopefully this is an isolated issue, but again, I apologize it happened to you.

As for receiving the 404 Error, can you tell me specifically where you were clicking? Was it within the blog post, or was it on the Apply Now button on BibleCollegeScholarship.com? Email me directly and I will send you a link directly to the application.
