Logos 4 doens't download on my PC

Dear everybody,

I received my Logos 4 CD allready a month ago, and my new Notebook on the 14th of January, but when I tried to download Logos it didn't work out very well.

First it asked for my serial number, I read on a forum that I just had to use the control button and press 'never' to skip that part. And it worked, it started to prepare my library, but preparing my library 'disapeared' after about one minute.

I tried it several times, and waited also, but it just didn't continued to prepare my library.

I really want to start now using Logos, so it would be great if somebody could help me.

I guess you mean that you wanted to install the resources belonging to Logos 4, whereas the program itself has already been installed? Then: of course you have to activate the resources you got on DVD one time, otherwise they won't show up in your library. Are you sure those resources have already been activated? And: have you entered the correct username and password for your Logos-account? After "preparing library" disappears, does the Logos 4 program window open? If so, enter "Scan DVD" in the command field, close the program window and open it again, then Logos 4 will search for the resources on the DVD once more and propably ask for the activation code again.

Please enable Diagnostic Logging and then after attempting another restart of the program save teh logs and upload them here. Some of us will take a look at them and we might be able to determine what is going on.

Even if some of us can't figure it out, the Devs will be able to use the logs as well, so they're useful.

Just some answers and remarks to your questions:

resources have already been activated?No I am not sure, how do I have to do that. I just tried to do what the Logos mail said me to do which was downloading the programm and then afterwards it would start preparing the library etc. but it stops preparing the library after 1 minute.

And: have you entered the correct
username and password for your Logos-account? Yes I entered the correct username and password. Also on the website I can log in whit that combination so it has to be the right one.

disappears, does the Logos 4 program window open? Yes it opens! there is the funny sound etc. but no resources are in it, so you are right.

If so, enter "Scan

then Logos 4 will search for the resources on the DVD once more and
propably ask for the activation code again. I did what you suggested. The second time it asked for my serial number to activate the product or so, but I don't have any serial number. (Is that the same as activation code?) I read on this forum that I just had to push the ctrl. key and that it would change in "never" instead of "later" thats what I did, and then the same story happens: it prepars my library for 30 seconds and then I get the Logos programm again (without any resources.)

I hope you understand my answers. I really appreciate your help, and I am looking forward for your answer.

Have you ever signed into Logos using your email address and password? It looks to me as though the problem is that Logos doesn't know what licence you have, and therefore hasn't downloaded/installed any resources.

I'd suggest you try "Scan DVD" once more and enter the activation code / serial number (it should be somewhere on the case your DVD came in) and look whether this leads to do the activation of the resources (if so, there will be indexing first, afterwards you should see your resources in the library). If this doesn't help, call or write customer service. Good luck and God bless!

My serial number is on the back of the paper cardboard-envelope the DVD's kept in. It says "Bible Study Library (LE)" (obviously, this depends on the Base Package you bought). Beneath there are four columns, made up of five numbers/letters each - that's your serial number.
