WhenI have multiple Bibles open or books and run my mouse across the tabs a description of the book with a nice colored snapshot pops up. The tab already tells me which Bible it is so I don't need a write up of what the Bible is like.

But what I would really like is for the passage that it is currently open to, would be wonderful.

I know this isn't precisely what you were asking for, and it isn't at all meant to invalidate your request. But do you know about F7 to bring up the quick comparison window showing the current passage in all your top Bibles (which is likely to be the same as all the Bible tabs you've got open)?

And once you've got that up, if you want to see the passage in even more translations, you can right-click anywhere on it and that will open up the Text Comparison tool:

This you can customize by typing in the version abbreviations, or even a collection name (e.g., English Bibles, which I've got set up to include all my English Bibles). In the latter case, it's likely to get so full you'll want to press Shift+F11 to open it in a floating window:

I'm finding I use this method more and more nowadays to see the current verse in multiple translations.

    I agree!

I like your idea, but would want to see passages for bible tabs and book descriptions for everything else. The reason being that sometimes I'll run a search and then click on a search result in an unfamiliar book, or I'll open so many tabs that only the icon is showing. In those cases its nice to get a quick description of the resource.
