Sentence Diagramming Help Please!

Hi.

I have just started working through the Kairos Greek Grammar resource and have made it to the giddy heights of page 6 Big Smile

I am working through the exercises and came across this example:

Modifiers (M) are placed directly below whatever they modify:

So here is the question ...

This shows an Indirect Object attached to the Verb. I presume that is correct (!) but how would I do this in Logos?

I can create two basic but separate objects and place them in close proximity to emulate the diagram, but I do not seem to be able to join the IO to the Verb because there is only one handle and that is being used by the Modifier.

Is there a way to group multiple diagrams or to add connection nodes?

Got it!

Much fiddling but a simple answer ... just draw the IO branch using the straight line tool and two straight lines.

That's a good workaround...I didn't see that.

IF that's a valid thing to do....two branches off of one object...then it would be nice for the SD to allow it.

I have never seen the indirect object diagrammed this way. I was taught that it belonged on the sentence base line with the indirect object marker. I also have never had a problem connecting two modified to a verb.

You are correct. Ephesians 4:32 says to be kind, tenderhearted, and forgiving, but it does not say be nice. [:D]

Correct - and being nice is what you want me to do, being kind is what God wants from me. They sometimes overlap - but not always. As my students. Oh, wait. Better not ask them.
