Layout Suggestion for studying a topic

I am doing several studies on the topics of 'Law' and 'Justification'. Besides taking advantage of the Word Study I would like to have a layout that would maximize the use of my resources. For example, beside the bible and dictionaries, what about encyclopedias, historical backgound and theological, etc. I want to take advantange of the experience of the forum.

The question then is what layouts do you use when doing a topic study?

Regardless of your layout, make sure you open your topical bibles like Nelson's, Nave's, Vine's and/or MacArthur's. Another great resource that I love is Zondervan's Dictionary of Bible Themes. The Topical Reader from Tozer and the Thematic Bible will also help.

Thanks Antony and everyone else for the replies. I had identified some of the topicals but Tozer, Thematic Bible and Vines, I hadn't thought about.

As you read your dictionaries etc keep a passage list of key references. The you can do library searches like (Law, Justification) NEAR <Gal. 2:16> which can be helpful finding excerpts from books that talk about relevant passages while citing important verses.
