forced update problem

I run Logos on all three of my computers. The recent updates happenned normally on two of the three. I've been trying to force the update on the last machine. It is a Win7 box. Synchronization works without a glitch.

So far I have restarted (generally every day). I have used the "update now command." (The reply comes back immediately that no updates are available). I have tried using the control key with the Logos icon to force a new sign-on. That seems to work normally, and I am informed that there are no updates.

I am about to resort to the nuclear option and remove the whole program and re-install. Does anybody have a better suggestion ?

Try running the installer from here http://downloads.logos.com/LBS4/Installer/Logos4Setup.exe

Are you possibly on the beta channel on the one machine that isn't updating correctly? Try set update channel to default and see if that works. If you want to stay on the beta channel you'd need to set it back again after the update (set update channel to beta). For some reason 4.2a SR-2 did not get pushed out on the beta channel, though I think they normally do push out service releases on the beta channel if a new beta cycle hasn't started yet.

John can you indicate if any of the three computers were running a "beta" version?

That often "upsets" our downloads of "stable" releases when they are being distributed.

Thanks to all for the quick responses. Downloading and running the installer seems to have done the job. The download took all night. When I left for the office this morning the system was indexing. I will know by this evening and update here.
