Intel Atom N455 @ 1.66Ghz dual core

Hi,

Has anyone successfully run Logos 4 on an Intel Atom N455 @ 1.66Ghz dual core with 2gb ram, in maybe a netbook or a tablet.

I see that there are now some windows 7 tables coming out with this chip and wondered if the full Logos 4 might run ok on one of these tablets.

L4 will not run exceptionally fast on this kind of system, of course - but I'm pretty sure it will run. I have an Intel Core 2 Duo CPU T5250 @ 1.5GHz and 2,0GB RAM and Logos is running satisfyingly, so I guess there won't be bigger issues with an Atom N455.

I regularly use a single core Atom based netbook, running Windows 7 Starter Edition. It have no problem running L4 on this machine - occasionally, if I try to multi-task on, it will choke - but not too often. A dual core Atom should work even better.

Another good alternative would be AMD's new Fusion E-350 that just came out. It'll give you the dual core performance and the modern graphics processing necessary for avoiding a sluggish .NET interface.

Been running L4 on a single-core AMD netbook for about 4 months. I have more RAM, though: 4Gb. A passage guide search can be painfully slow--a good time to refill your tea glass or coffee cup. But it does work, and reliably. I don't think I've ever had L4 "hang" on the netbook.
