I've built a collection of German bibles using the filter
type:bible lang:Deutsch
I observed that "lang:Deutsch" is no longer recognized in SR-1 - I had to replace it with "lang:German". Bug or feature?

Hey Bohuslav, Dominic and Thomas,
your German is not bad at all.
What really confuses me: now it's vice versa: "lang:german" brings no result but "lang:deutsch" is working again?

Whenever you modify the library (e.g., rate, tag, rename books), an index of titles, authors, languages, etc. is rebuilt. It sounds like it was built with English language names when SR-1 was first installed, and then rebuilt with German language names (after you had modified some entries). It should stay German for now; I've filed a bug on this issue.
