New computer coming

I am getting a new computer which will have Windows 7 and is a 64 bit machine. How should I go about moving my Logos software to the new computer? I know that there is a new feature in 7 that will automatically transfer licenses from your old computer to the new one. My old one is a Vista machine. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

You can simply install the engine directly onto the new computer (from http://downloads.logos.com/LBS4/Installer/Logos4Setup.exe) and log in with your customer ID, and it will download all your resources for you. Your license is associated with your login, not with a particular machine, so it will work no matter what machine you're logged in from (you can even run it on multiple machines).

Oh, I'm sorry. I missed the fact that you'd posted this in the Logos 3 forum.

For Logos 3, to prepare for moving over to the new machine, start Logos on your old computer and do Tools > Library Management > Synchronize Licenses. Then do Tools > Library Management > Backup Licenses.

Then when you install Logos 3 on your new computer (from your installation CDs or from http://www.logos.com/support/downloads/ldls) do Tools > Library Management > Restore Licenses. You will still need to copy all the resource files from your CDs to your new computer hard disk (using Tools > Library Management > Location Manager), but the backup/restore licenses step beforehand will ensure that all your resources are unlocked and available to you.

Option: could copy Libronix 3 Resources folder along with backup license file.

Install Libronix 3.0g
Install Libronix 3.0g fix for Internet Explorer 9 => http://www.logos.com/support/windows/LDLS-IE9
Open Libronix 3.0g
Restore Licenses
Quit Libronix 3.0g
Copy resource files into new Resources folder
Open Libronix 3.0g (library should have many unlocked resources).

If later install Logos 4, Libronix 3 resource files are automatically scanned and copied to your Logos 4 folder, then Logos 4 downloads updated resource file(s) into your Logos 4 folder. Thankful Libronix 3 and Logos 4 can peacefully coexist.
