BUG: Color by Eissfeldt

In Gen 27 there are 2 sections -- Gen 27.27b-28 and 29b and Gen 27.39b-40 where each individual word is highlighted with purple. This is not the foreground highlighting of the letters which would be expected and does not agree with L3. It is done correctly in L3. Turning off the Color by Eissfeldt removes the highlighting, but it cannot be removed as one would normally erase highlighting.

My apologies to those unfamiliar with the designation. "Color by Eissfeldt" is only present in AFAT (Andersen-Forbes Analyzed Text) of the Hebrew TANAK.

I do not have any highlighting styles applied in that resource; all the text is black on a white background, except for the occasional blue character which designates a pop-up.

For the highlighting you're seeing, since you can 'turn it off' but not erase it, it sounds like it may be a Visual Filter you've applied to the text. You might try checking the File Menu to see if you can find it there to confirm whether or not that is the case.

Yes, L4 didn't come with this filter built in. You built it yourself. Any error in the visual filter will need to be corrected by you.

If I built it [then I should come [:D]] (which I don't recall doing), I should be able to change it, but all I seem to be able to do is to turn it on or off.

Huh, I just looked at the AFAT and the only coloring in this regard is the one I built.

Could you take screen shots of what you're seeing? Perhaps we can figure it out that way.

Note that there are two types of filters displayed (1) text coloration (2) background coloration. I would like it to be text coloration only.

George, there has to be a filter in your files for this to be working. Open up the File menu and type eissfeldt into the Find field on the menu. I'm willing to bet it's there. (if not, then you have a phantom filter, and you should call support for exorcism)

In the wiki, there is an example Eissfeldt Hexateuch filter that looks like this:

Note that some of the sources are marked with colored text and some are marked with colored background (probably because there aren't enough colors). If you can find your filter file, then you can edit it to change or delete the ones you don't like.

Sorry for the delay in reply -- I'm getting slammed reading all of the "Meet and Greet" posts.

Surprise, surprise. Typing "Eissfeldt" did locate this. This must have gotten lost in the clutter of all of my note files -- It would be preferable if it were possible to click on the type of file and display those you have rather that simply throw them into the chicken soup of everything else. Since we can't share note files, I assume we also can't share visual filters and since I'm sure I didn't create this, I'm wondering how I got it. I guess I could modify it to conform to the L3 "Color by Eissfeldt", but, now that I see the filter itself (and learn the significance of the differing mark-up), I'm wondering whether I want to. I'll need to consider that.
