Is there a way of doing this?

Folks,

Here is what I'm trying to do. Resource A has reference number 25 as "Resource B. page 84". Now actually read what resource B says in page 84 I have to open B in a second window and locate the page. Is there a way that once I locate the page in resource B now I can link Reference 25 of A with Page 84 of B?

Hi Harbey, when you say "reference number 25" I think you are talking about a footnote existing in Resource A. Normally, if you hover over a footnote number, the footnote text will pop up in a temporary window which will go away when you move the mouse. But if instead you click on the footnote number, the footnote popup window will stay up, enabling you to then click on the link in the footnote, which should take you directly to the page number that is referred to. If the direct link to page 84 in Resource B is missing in footnote 25 in Resource A, then that should be reported as a typo (select the text "page 84"; right click on the selection, and choose "Report Typo"; then enter in the comments field "missing hyperlink" or something like that).

There's no way for you to edit a built-in footnote yourself. However you could add a note, and in the note you could put a hyperlink to the location on page 84 that you want to link to. To create that hyperlink for pastin ginto the note, go to page 84 in Resource B and choose "Copy location as URL" from the panel menu.

If Resource B was produced in Logos after Resource A was produced, then Logos itself would have created the link. If that's not the case then:

Open or create a notes file that you'll use for this.
Highlight reference 25 in Resource A (or some text very near to the footnote).
Right-click and choose add note.
Type "See Resource B" or something similar in the note.
Go to the correct location in Resource B, select the resource panel menu and choose "Copy location as hyperlink".
Go back to the note, and select the text "Resource B".
Paste the location you copied to the clipboard in (5) in the small box called Hyperlink, and Press enter.

You should get a note indicator in Resource A. If you click it, you'll see the note,and can then CTRL+click the hyperlink. Whether all this is worth it, you only can decide!

• It is permissible to present yourself in the Meet and Greet thread even if you don't intend to buy anything. [;)][:D]

• Like virtually all Logos sales, the hidden one was directed at Evangelicals, not Catholics, so you're not necessarily missing much. Though there was a wildcard option (I'm probably supposed to be forbidden to say that, but since Stephen himself revealed it in one of his posts, it can hardly be said to be a secret anymore).

• You're starting a blog promoting Logos resources, but you're not going to buy them yourself? That's somewhat funny. [:)] Maybe Logos should give you a resource or two for free, in exchange for the free advertising.

• Thankfully I live in a country which was thoroughly soaked with medieval Catholic values -- like free education -- for several centuries, and most of them still prevail. (Alexander III: knowledge should be given for free to each and everyone, and not be treated like a merchandise to buy and sell.) (It always amuses me when Americans believe this or that in Sweden is "socialist", when, in fact, it is thoroughly medieval and thoroughly Catholic -- or sometimes even pre-Christian.)
