PB: Adding Header Levels in Source

I dont know if its possible, and realise it might not make it in before 4.3 goes gold even if it is..

Can I propose adding a [[H* Header_Text]] markup where * is the Header level impemented or something similar if possible, it would prove helpful for importing from v3 PB and or other external sources and would make for a speedier conversion/import of resources.

I am (Not) going to create a PB as it would need >30000 headers if I do the job correctly, and whilst its relatavely straight forward to mark up the txt programatically before dropping it into Word, it is definitely not pheasable to manualy set so many items in Word..

also maybe markup for styles bold,italic and underline, but thats just the icing on the cake

I may be misunderstanding what you need to do, but wouldn't it be just as easy, if not easier, to select text and click on a Heading Style button in Word, rather than typing the syntax you propose above in every place you want a heading? The same would be true for the formatting styles you mention.

Forget this request , I think I if I preprocess the plain text file into HTML word will sort the headings for me...

I think this suggestion can be abandoned, and hopefully the imported HTML will retain the preprocessed information when imported into word

Dominic, I often do the following: save docx file as HTML, go to the HTML editor, use all the tools available there to tag the text including <H1>, <H2> Headings etc. and then save the document as docx. It keeps headings in the same order as Heading 1, Heading 2 etc.
