Identify Greek/Hebrew/Aramaic Words for Emotions

Good Morning,

I am beginning a new study on "Divine Emotion". My first task is to identify all the Greek/Hebrew/Aramaic words for emotions.I have limited "emotions" to words that express happiness, sadness anger, and fear (the four primary emotions). My question is: How do I use Logos 4 to Identify all the Greek/Hebrew/Aramaic words for these emotions?

The semantic domains in Louw-Nida should get you there. Or the translation diagrams in the word studies on your base English words.

Bible Word Study (BWS) has rings that show original language lemma's for English translations:

Observed same English word has different usage in various translations. Also, Lexham Analytical Lexicon to the Greek New Testament includes cognate words.

Looking at small numbers for "happy", noted "blessed" in Greek word ring, hence "bless" BWS. Wonder about reading psalms looking for emotional words (e.g. despair, joy).

Note: customized My Bible Word Study to include 3 translations for Greek and Hebrew.

How do I use Logos 4 to Identify all the Greek/Hebrew/Aramaic words for these emotions?

The Louw-Nida Lexicon has a domain 25 for Attitudes and Emotions and 88 for Anger (sub-domain 171-191 ). Pick the applicable sub-domains for your emotions and you will get a list of words in the NT.

If you have DBL Hebrew/Aramaic Dictionary you can perform a Basic Search for the sub-domains which will give you OT words e.g.

(<ln 25.116-145>, <ln 223-250>, <ln 25.251-287>, <ln 88.171-191>) ---> this is a List. of sub-domains.
