theology matters

i notice that college press' theology collection is preparing to ship. it contains denver sizemore's 13 lessons in christian doctrine, which i've found to be a helpful little guide in the past. but i am not at all familiar with the other book in the collection, theology matters. can anyone comment on this title? maybe its better to wait until the collection is unbundled to get sizemore's work? wish they would have simply bundled his second volume with the first, rather than the other title.

If you query the internet on the authors, they show up at Pepperdine and Abiline Christian University (both restoration / Church Of Christ).

I ended up downloading a couple PDFs that include writings by the authors. Pretty good (depends on your theology, as the tilte suggests!).

I do not know most of the contributors to this collection but the three editors are well known and I believe they would put together a very interesting book. All three have been criticized by their own denomination as being too ecumenical. I find that an interesting development considering the historical plea for unity in the Stone-Campbell Restoration Movement. Here are some links you may find enlightening:

For the Pre-Pub price, I think this is well worth the "risk." Go ahead and buy the collection. If you find it abhorent, get a refund and re-purchase Sizemore's book. [C]

Ok, that's bizarre. I can read the entire book at this site, except for the final chapter. Not sure how CP can do that! :-)

Anyway, thanks, Denise! That's a cool site of which I was unaware. I had always checked Amazon previously, and there wasn't anything there about the book.
