Sentence Diagramming Tool

I'm trying to use the "join" feature on the sentence diagram tool. I arrange my words in the order I want them in. Then I highlight the words. Next I select "Join." The outcome is that the words are then rearranged in an order I did not want them in. Am I doing something wrong?

Learning Logos 4.3 SR-3 Sentence Diagram joining can be a bit quirky on Mac and Windows; seems joining keeps order for items arranged in a line that are not connected. When dragging items to one line, if edges of words get close enough, automatically connect: highlight and join with more words can produce word order change.

The final arrangement is dependent upon both horizontal and vertical placement prior to the Join. A word that is raised even slightly above the others will go to the head of the line

Thanks Jack. This was helpful. Now I either arrange my words vertically, select them, and then select "Join" or I highlight and join them in the area of my screen that Logos imported them and then move them into my sentence diagram.

Glad to be of assistance. I had a few misaligned diagrams before I discovered that trick (or did someone tell me?)
