I'm trying to decide if I want to keep or cancel my order for the Dictionary of the Apostolic Church and keep wavering back and forth.
Does anyone have any input on this resource?

Thanks.
Hastings did 2 2 vol. dictionary sets that covered the NT.
The Apostolic Church covers Acts-Revelation.
The Christ and the Gospels (which is still in CP at $10) covers the four Gospels.
Similar approach to the IVP Dictionary series.
Bargain prices!

Peace to you, Ron! and ........... *smile* Great Joy in the Lord!
You only have a very short time to "waver," my friend; since today is shipping day.
I think if you have an accepted bid of $10 USD as I do, it would be very difficult to cancel. I'm actually pleased to be able to receive this great resource at such a low price. Their now new "regular" price is $35.00.
Too late for new bids, unfortuntely.
I do have the community pricing bid and it is such a great price that it is hard to pass up.
Thanks for the input.
Ronald, this may or may not pique your interest, but I recently participated in a discussion regarding the KJV (or AV) and its differing manuscript use from many of the popular versions of scripture today on a certain passage in Romans. As a result I was in need of a commentary that dealt strictly with the original greek and the KJV to help me understand how someone would correctly explain the passage solely using the King James. Suddenly the Cambridge Bible for Schools and Colleges Commentary I recently purchased from CP became incredibly helpful in giving me this perspective.
In my own reasoning, three and a half centuries were dominated by a single translation of the Bible, so to have study resources that compliment this time period's context may come in handy from time to time. These dictionaries do deal often with the original language for each entry. It also gives us context for our favorite theologians who lived within this time.
I've even thought of creating a 17th-20th century KJV context layout with resources such as Hastings to then read and study the thoughts of theologians from this era.
I wanted a dictionary that dealt strictly with post-Jesus and what the usage was. Outside of this one, most broad-brush the waterfront.
The sister volume which limits itself to 'Jesus' will be good too. Hopefully it'll 'come up for air' soon.
You'll have 30 days to use it and change your mind.
This is interesting. What resources would you suggest?
(By the way, I did follow through with purchasing the Dictionary of the Apostolic Church).
Did you also place a CP bid on the companion set: Dictionary of Christ and the Gospels?
http://www.logos.com/product/6324/a-dictionary-of-christ-and-the-gospels
$10 beats the $34.95 pre-pub price and the $64.95 final price.
I got my bid in on that too. Looking forward to it.
