Ok, need help again-sorry.

bought another resource today. Restarted Logos after following the link, got the bouncing ball and after screen said resources being downloaded, was instructed to restart.

Logos crashed, got a crash report, restarted logos, Crashed again, then again.

Restarted Mac, Logos opened ok.

No new resources, no indexing, nothing.

Restarted again- restart ok, again, no new resource.

Tried "update now", no luck.

Any suggestions?

Just want to work.

Well, something downloaded, then Logos crashed "over and over again" on trying to restart, then finally started, but no download, no resources.

Did have some Logos stuff in trashcan, hard to delete trash.

Spent money, no downloads completed, hours wasted-sigh.

yep, up to date on everything except BDAG that I bought today.

But , just in case, since it crashed ( had been pretty stable for last week ), I downloaded it again and replaced my install.

No change.

Reset all defaults ( have to go back and re-tweak everything now ).

Man this is frustrating.

Just need to find out some way to re-download and install, that should get it done.

Been trying for most of five hours now, ran disc utility, re-booted a ton of times.

Apologies: personally have experienced many, many Logos 4 Mac crashes (some dating back to Logos 4 Mac pre-release Alpha's) so know many causes are possible. Would like to look at diagnostic log files.

Wonder about always enabling diagnostic logging => Mac Diagnostic Logging then use steps => How to Report Bugs in Logos 4 Mac

Other option is waiting for Logos support next week (email or call) => http://www.logos.com/about/contact

Never in my life ( and i'm pretty old ) have I had to go through things like this to use a piece of software that is for sale to the consumer, nor, to the professional.

This is just beyond frustrating, it really is.

I have heard too much that "this has been crashing a long time/ we have gone through many crashes- sorry- does not make me feel better, does not make me feel like this is a good product, but rather makes me feel this is the norm.

Not sure telling people one has been through "many, many crashes" is good advertising. grin.

Under frustration; likewise wish Logos 4 Mac was working. Note: as a professional computer geek, have experienced some software packages that was professionally user hostile.

Thankful for many Logos 4 Mac improvements (sometimes following a short season of crashes). If crash cause can be isolated and fixed, know Logos will update application very quickly. While reading Logos 4 Mac forum threads, noting several recent crashes on OS X Lion. Am aware Logos 4 Mac working for some, but not others (looking for crash patterns to help isolate cause, currently puzzled).

I cannot get the Perseus either now i guess. Tried update now again.

Apologies: missed seeing attached zip file yesterday [:$] (did not see link to file; changed hyperlink color to darker shade of blue today)

Zip file has crash report (noticed bootstrap.exe on several lines), but does not have logos4.log diagnostic file. The indexer.log was empty (0 bytes), which is unusual.

Wiki Mac Troubleshooting => How to Report Bugs in Logos 4 Mac has link to Logos Log Scribe that includes copy of console messages plus a compressed copy of Logging folder.

I just trashed the program and re-installed it hoping against hope that would help-nada.

Wonder about enabling diagnostic logging using => 5504.Logos4MacLogging.app.zip, restart Mac, launch Logos 4 Mac, after anticipated crash, use => 6403.Logos Log Scribe R2.zip then reply and attach gz file (created by Logos Log Scribe on your desktop).

Option: can email Logos Mac Support => http://www.logos.com/about/contact with reference to this thread (for follow-up next week that could include phone call and with your permission, Logos remotely connected to your Mac).

Would like to look at diagnostic logs. When Logos 4 Mac launches, many SQLite database files are opened before Logos 4 Mac displays last used layout or home page.

Quick look at zip file, noticed LoggingEnabled pair missing, wondering if deleting and reinstalling ? or if have file path access issues - wonder about Disk Utility repair permissions ?
