.I thought it would be fun if we could share who our favourite MVP's are..

Only 4 on your list of 10 are MVPs.

One of my favorites is no longer an MVP; Rosie.

G'day forum buddies...I thought it would be fun if we could share who our favourite MVP's are...not in any order, but just your top 5 or so.

The reason is not to blow wind up their skirts, but my method is two-fold:-

1. That indeed, those MVP's will be encouraged by knowing how much we value their input.

2. Your lists may help others to keep an eye out for their posts and our individual lists of favourite MVP's may increase.

OK, just to start us off (and please...this is for fun, and lists are just a sample...not exhaustive...maybe follow-up lists will come...so please, no-one take this post offensively, if it's not in your taste, just go to next post):

My criteria today was not who comes across smartest, but those who I can genuinely think of straight from the top of my head...meaning I really do look out for their posts,and/or they have personally helped me recently.

Again....this is for fun...but just in case an MVP or 2 ignores the title of this post...thank you to all of you...not just those mentioned on my list. As I am typing this...I'm recollecting so many more!!!

Thank you all. Actually, Damian McGrath became the first MVP Emeritus.

Dave Hooton is usually the one who can solve things that I've been stumped by, but several others have caught me making erroneous suggestions. I appreciate all the MVPs, and others who out of the goodness of their hearts love to answer questions and build up all our knowledge of Logos, and thus indirectly, of God's Word.

I'm enjoying my Emeritus status, and do like stopping by still once and a while and having a go at a question, but boy I really did burn the candle at both ends too much and it nearly did me in.

I see that Dave is probably going to surpass my post count sometime soon, and will probably cross 9,000 soon and also will likely be the first one to hit 10,000. That will call for a special Logos sale! Every book in Dave's library 50% off for everyone else who doesn't have it yet.

disclosure: I must confess, the Bible verses quoted and the context they were quoted in were first posted by another MVP addressing negative & disrespectful posts against Bob Pritchett & Logos. I will not tell you which MVP said it first. I believe it was one already named as a favorite in this thread. I merely pointed out the original poster's list of 10 MVPs only contained 4. btw: that goes to show the little star & the MVP title don't matter half as much as the actual help people offer to others. I don't pretend to be in the top 26 helpful posters on these forums.

I doubt it. I think I was born with that attitude. Only thing that keeps it in check is God working on my conscience. I was both positively and negatively influenced by Richard Feynman's book, "What Do You Care What Other People Think?" My list of "Who to impress." is a short one.

[;)] Assuming many are honest in their postings and good at saying what they mean, and meaning what they say; Yes, reasonably intelligent persons can know what others are thinking.

Nope. I speak for no one but myself. I find Bob Pritchett's tolerance in these forums very refreshing (& frustrating at times.) Over at the slide rule forum I'm a member of they just banned a member for saying this:

There are a number of members here who haven't come up for mention. I really hesitate to make any kind of list since I will undoubtedly leave out some. I'll simply add one name to the list which I don't think has been mentioned yet — Graham. He has been helpful to me in getting through the startup pains of creating PBs.

lists of creeds and confessions, and encouraged mind mapping. Virtually
all of Dave Hooton's posts are helpful answers to technical questions.
Todd Philips, formerly with NASA, is great with technical issues as well
as familiarity with commentaries. Kevin Becker, Rosie, KS4J, and
several more who know resource content, write wiki entries, and give
quick help to newbies when no one else is available.

I get a lot more than just Logos software help from many forum regulars. Richard DeRuiter's thoughtful posts often minister to spiritual needs. Milford Charles Murray, Keep Smiling 4 Jesus, and Praiser really bless me on my bad days. MJ Smith has taught me many new ways to think about things. Each & every MVP and many, many more non-MVPs are special for their unique contributions. As George just said attempting a list is difficult. We all appreciate Thomas but it is obvious Halo Hound has a special relationship with him. And that is ok.

I'm not going to list names: But a big Thank You to all those that take the time to provide answers to the seekers.

I've had many of my own questions answered, and learn much by seeing what others ask and the answers given. I've even attempted to help at times - sometimes with mixed results.

I stopped posting much once I got an iPad and using it rather than a Windows PC much of the time. Now the forums and iOS play nicer, maybe I'll speak up again from time to time. Drifting off the topic again ...

I've been wanting to say the same thing. Current MVP's, former MVP's, those who do not wish to have the title and those who deserve the title but don't have it yet. If you contribute positively to the forums, you are an MVP in my mind. Thanks to all for helping me learn and use an outstanding program from an outstanding company. You have truly taught me that Bible study is more than simply reading the Bible. I honestly had no idea of what true study was until I invested in Libronix, a couple of others and ultimately Logos 4. Just FYI it has really been Logos 4 and these forums that have opened my eyes to the necessity of digging deeper. [Y]
