Asking for suggestions on "the importance of reading"

I don't know if it is a right place to ask about this. I am about to prepare a meeting to college saints, talking about the importance of reading, and how it shapes our life. You know, in this present age people tends not to read but watch, etc.

I am asking if there is any Logos resource, say a spiritual book, about the issue.

I seem to recall a resource (which I had obtained free) titled Confessions of a Bibliophile. I don't happen to see it in my library (not even in L3 though it may be due to my reinstalling on a new computer). I also don't find it on the Logos site. Does anyone recall this, and is it still available?

You know, in this present age people tends not to read but watch, etc.

At our church we just finished a short book "Reading the Bible for Life". It emphasizes spending quiet time reading your Bible each day with insight on how to maximize your study in the Word. i don't think it is in Logos yet...

When we substitute watching videos or listening to audios instead of reading the Bible, we miss out on what God wants to show us individually. (just my thoughts)

Thanks for "The Love Affairs of a Bibliomaniac". I found it in my library (and I just realize I have it). I think it's fiction/bibliography, is it?

Any books that will discuss about the issue on a more theoretical basis? e.g. The important of languages/written words, how it shapes a man, etc.?

Very true. That's why we will have a meeting for that too. In the present age readings is more important but at the same time less emphasized and practiced.

If we don't read our Bibles, how can we tell if those on the videos/audios are telling the whole truth?
