I keep getting the color spinning wheel for even the simplest of tasks (scrolling, moving panes in a layout, clicking on a word, etc). I've tried restarting my computer and Logos, still seems to constantly do this.
Beta 11 just seems sluggish to me.
Is there a way to get off the Beta?
Easily = No; complete uninstall is needed, see Wiki Mac Troubleshooting => Want to downgrade from Beta to Stable
Also since have used Logos 4.5 Beta, some items will not sync in Logos 4.3 stable.
Can change update channel for Logos 45 Beta to set update channel to default, which will receive future beta releases, then switch with release candidate to stable channel.
Option: create another Mac user account for use with stable Logos 4.3 release. If want to avoid redownload of resources, can use wiki steps Quick Installation onto Multiple Macs => Copy Logos 4 Resources to Mac OS X

Thanks for your help. So, to make sure i understand this... if i put "set update channel to default" in the command bar, i will still continue to receive the beta updates for now... until a new full release is available, then i will receive the public release, and not be on the beta any longer. is that correct?

That is the way it works. Are you by any chance using OS 10.7 (Lion)?
Wonder if diagnostic log files have any interesting messages ?
Wiki has Mac Troubleshooting => How to Report Bugs in Logos 4 Mac
Option: download and use an applescipt application 5504.Logos4MacLogging.app.zip to display logging setting, then change to enable logging. Please download then use Logos Log Scribe application to create a zip file on your desktop (copies console messages, then compresses contents of your Logging folder for posting).
Likewise curious if sluggish is "new" to Beta 11 compared to previous versions ?

Wondering about Mac model ?
Jack - yes I am using Lion.
Keep Smiling - I came into the Beta testing around Beta 7 or so. Nothing seemed very sluggish until Beta 11.
I asked because the sluggishness you mention does not seem to be present in Leopard (10.5). Seems that Apple made a number of dramatic changes in Lion that has caused some new problems with L4 Mac.

Puzzling; wonder if scrolling is worse in some resources vis others ?
Also wonder if use Reverse Interlinear Pane in Bibles ? While trying to replicate scrolling, found => Bug: 4.5 Beta 11 Reverse Interlinear Pane Regression
Using a magic mouse for finger scrolling, was able to replicate scrolling stuttering, which had been fixed in 4.3 Beta => Scrolling: Reverse Interlinear Bible, which can be very slow at times
Also experienced scrolling stutters using arrow keys. Appears 4.5 Beta 11 is a bit buggy.
Edit: currently using Mac OS X 10.6.8 on 27" iMac with 2.93 GHz i7 and 16 GB RAM.
