I have downloaded the version 4 Alpha Engine for Mac and it keeps freezing when it tries to log into my account. Is anyone else having this problem?
Try this. Worked for me.
Force quit your running Logos 4, if it is still loaded.
In Finder click Shift + Command + G and enter the following folder path.... /Applications/Logos Bible Software 4.app/Contents/MacOS (note the spaces are necessary)
Then select the application called 'Logos4Indexer' this will restart the indexer and complete the installation.
This has successfully installed Logos 4 Mac and I am now able to use the program. As noted in others feeds, indexing can take some time, so let things run their course. Good luck.
I got to the logging in screen, then Logos 4 quits itself. The indexer icon is still showing in my menu bar. Am I OK or is something wrong?
Thanks!
Nathan,
The app shouldn't quit after the login screen. There have been quite a few bugs fixed between the first alpha release and the most current Alpha 2. Posting your Logos4.log and Indexer.log would help. You can see the instructions here: http://community.logos.com/forums/t/3311.aspx
That will give us a better picture of how we can help you.

Thank you, this helped me to get going again.

After multiple install/uninstall procedures, I finally got past the "logging in" lock-up. Now, I am stuck on "waiting for indexer" window. I have tired Rob's idea for running the Indexer from the Applications Library without success.
Any other ideas?
I have installed Logos on VM Fusion which runs quite slow even on a new MacBook Pro.
