Israel, please follow the directions here: http://wiki.logos.com/Diagnostic_Logging to enable diagnostic logging permanently. Then remove Logos 4 if it shows on your Control Panel Uninstall a Program list, and try to reinstall. Zip up the log files as directed in the link above and post them here.

Please turn on diagnostic logging and upload install and setup logs in \Documents\Logos Log Files. Read this wiki article carefully for instructions http://wiki.logos.com/Diagnostic_Logging

Here is the part of the wiki you need to follow:
To permanently enable logging, run (Open) this Java script by clicking on it: EnableLogging.js.
It should display a dialog box saying “Logos 4 logging has been enabled”.Log files are written to
(My) Documents\Logos Log Files
To disable logging, run (Open) by clicking on DisableLogging.js.
Please click on the link that says EnableLogging.js That should run a Javascript program (your computer may ask you permission to do this) that will turn dignostic logging on permanently.
When you try to reinstall Logos 4 it will create log files you'll find in C:\Users\{User Name}\Documents\Logos Log Files (normally can be found under 'My Documents'.
To attach the log files here follow these directions:
What do I do with them? Most often you will be asked to upload the logs to the Forums but they can also be used in conjunction with a Bug Report.
Note that the logs are overwritten each time you start Logos 4, so it’s best to rename or capture the logs before you start Logos again. It also helps to compress (zip) the log files before you upload them as they can be very large.
How do I “zip” my log file(s)?- You will find the log file(s) in a folder called Logos Log Files inside your Documents folder (My Documents
in XP). You might find one or more of the following files: Logos4.log,
Logos4Error.log, Logos4Indexer.log, PrerequisitesInstall.log,
DigitalLibraryInstall.log, Logos4setup.log.
- Select whichever log files are appropriate to upload
(PrerequisitesInstall.log, DigitalLibraryInstall.log and Logos4setup.log
if the problem happened during installation/setup; Logos4.log and
Logos4Indexer.log if the problem happened during indexing; or Logos4.log
& Logos4Error.log. Otherwise zip whatever files a Logos support
person asks you for). To select multiple files, click to select the
first one, then hold down the Ctrl key while clicking on subsequent
files.
- To zip the selected files in Win 7 or XP:
Right-click
on any one of the selected files; choose “Send To”; choose “Compressed
(zipped) Folder”. A new file will be created named with the .zip
extension and the icon will look like a folder with a zipper on it. The
part of the filename before the .zip will depend on which log file you
selected first (rename it if necessary).
- To zip the selected files in Vista:
Right-click on
any one of the selected files; choose “Add to archive...”; under Archive
Format, select ZIP; click OK. This will create a file called Logos Log
Files.zip.
Let us know if you have further questions.

I don't have a rar compressor. Are you running on a Mac? If Windows the zip format is best as per the wiki.

Israel,
How are you getting the file you are trying to install? The log says the file is corrupted. Are you installing from the Internet with a fresh downland each time?

It would help to have these in .zip format.
I've attached the file without compression since it is a small one.5483.Israelslogos4setup(1).log

Hey,
I had a very similar problem - I have Avira Security - it says that Logos4.exe has a virus in it (Dropper), thereby preventing me from opening it. This is only since the update.
It works only if I disable the antivirus temporarily, then launch Logos4, then I can restart the antivirus software.
Hmmm...

There may be an option in Avira as in some other antivirus software to exclude programs from its perusal. Check that out. If not, contact the makers and ask them to whitelist Logos 4.

Thanks for the suggestion - Avira does have an option to add "exceptions" to its scanning.
I've added Logos4 to exceptions - however, you need to make it aware that both Logos4\Logos4.exe as well as Logos4\System\Logos4.exe are both OK.
I may try and contact Avira to get them to whitelist it - see what can be done.

... I have sent a "False Positive" report to Avira - hopefully they will fix the problem.
