Why am I unable to download books I had previously downloaded?

Love the new update. I thought it might fix my problem but apparently it did not.

For quite some when I would start the app it informed me that some of the books that had been previously downloaded were missing. It would ask if I wanted to download them again. When I clicked "yes" then it would run through abbreviated titles telling me that it could not download that title.

After installing the new app I saw that n. t. Wrights book "NewTestament and the..." was not downloaded. I tried to download it but it would not. So odd, given that at one time it was on my iPad.

Ideas?

Garrett - Are you referring to "The New Testament and the People of God"? Do you see it in your mobile library at all? Did you try clicking on the "download" button?

Sorry. I do not know how to do that on my first gen iPad. Btw, it downloads on my iPhone.

When I try to download the book it looks like it starts to download but then there is a popup message which simply says "unable to download" and then gives the name of the book...

Garrett - I would recommend that you delete the app from your iPad altogether and re-download it. The only negative is that you will lose any downloaded books. If you try this, let us know how it goes.

I tried it. After installing the app I went to my library and clicked "download all." it has crashed twice. When I reopen the app it is frozen and does nothing.

Garrett - First, in case you are unaware, Logos discovered a bug which could corrupt data, so they pulled the plug on syncing until they can get a fix. I don't think that has anything to do with your situation, but just as an FYI.

Have you tried to uninstall, reinstall, & download nothing? Just trying to see if we can narrow down what the problem might be. If you get that going, then you could try to download the single resource that you were having troubles with (to see if it works).

Also, would you mind looking up how much free space you have on your iPad?

I have over 25 gig remaining. My iPad is the 64 gig version.

After reinstalling the app I immediately went to the wright book that would not download and it did download! But after I clicked on "download all" that's when it puked and froze up. Now, after some time has passed it seems to have resumed downloading.

Maybe this function is stressing logos servers? Imagine all us doing this all at once. I have over 3600 resources. Just an idea.

In case you didn't read... Logos discovered a bug this morning which could seriously damage user info, so they have pulled the plug temporarily on syncing. They are working on a fix and trying to get it approved by Apple asap. The app should work fine except that it won't sync until the fix comes.
