I keep getting extremely annoying not responding issues whenever I do just about anything from switching to a window or clicking on a panel. The system hangs for several seconds sometimes minutes before it clears and it seems this started happening after the upgrade to the latest version. I am sending the log files. Is there a way to install the previous version until these bugs are worked out?5670.Logos4Error.log8231.Logos4Error-2.log
Tim, I haven't noticed any real change as you have. Your Logos4.log file would be more helpful in seeing when things are involved in the issue.
I have tracked the problem down to the use of my Greek verbs visual filter. Never had a problem with this filter until now and don't know why. I at least feel relief that I know what the problem is. I am sending a screen shot of the filter along with how it shows up in NASB along with the log file you requested. Whenever I try to do anything with this filter enabled everything locks up. Maybe you can see what is going on.

I found a some of these warnings in the log file (2012-02-01 22:09:19.0352 5 Warn LibraryCatalog No metadata found for resource 'LLS:APFTHLKENG'.) and then found this post http://community.logos.com/forums/t/9295.aspx Not sure if this is helpful or not but I do not have this resource so I also am wondering why L4 is trying to find it and issuing an error??

This filter makes use of seven different highlighting schemes. I wonder if Logos is just having a lot of trouble syncing this much material (I haven't looked at the logs, yet). Logos 4.5 as you know handles highlights differently and others have noticed sluggishness related to highlighting.
Are all seven of these highlights pointing back to a single Notes file? If not, perhaps creating a custom highlighting palate just for these seven styles would help. That way they can all be stored in one file. Just wondering. You're essential marking up most of the New Testament so that's a big notes file and perhaps a huge problem for syncing.
The log doesn't reveal much to me. Was the Visual Filter in question active when this log was created?
You might turn off the filter, do a set group of actions (open and close some resource, scroll one particular resource, run a short search), then note the time and turn it back on, repeat exactly the same actions, then close Logos and send the log file along with the time you activated the visual filter.
The attempt to locate 'LLS:APFTHLKENG' doesn't seem to take much time, perhaps a quarter second for all the attempts. Perhaps you should post in that other thread and say you are having the same problem and point to this thread.
I have tracked the problem down to the use of my Greek verbs visual filter.
There are over 30,000 hits in the NASB for that Filter. So it could take 10s to apply for every resource. Does the problem exist if you restrict the VF to one resource as opposed to All Resources?
Looking at highlighting styles, noticed images to the left of every verb so enabling (or disabling) visual filter causes spacing change in many lines as images are added (or removed). For imperatives, two images are inserted (or removed).
Wiki Extended Tips for Visual Filters => Examples of visual filters has Logos Greek Morphology visual filters for verb tense and moods that changes word display that can take a few seconds to turn on or off, then scrolls fine.

I did as you suggested. Everything worked fine without the filter. I then turned the filter on at 2:00 and it took about a minute for it to load. At 2:01 I attempted just to do a page up by clicking on the scroll bar area in NASB and that's all it took to lock it up and it showed not responding for several seconds. I then attempted to close L4 at 2:02 and it stopped resonding again for several seconds and then finally closed. Here is the log file. 1781.Logos4.log

I tried just restricting the filter to the NASB and still the same results. It must be the change in highlighting that has resulted in this issue since, as I said, I never had a problem with this filter until the recent updates.
Ok this issue has something to do with the custom palette I created for Greek verbs when I cahnged the highliter to simple text colors that come with L4 it works fine but when I use the custom palette that I created as in the screen shot in this post it does not work. Is this normal?
After more experimenting I discovered that it is specifically the capsule before the text that causes the problem. Although this worked before it no longer works now. It does work to have the capsule avbove or below the text. It is probably the displacement of the text as mentioned above. If it is a displacement issue then what I don't get is why it does work to just put a little text note before the text such as --A-- for aorist before each aorist word. This works fine but when you turn it into a capsule it does not work. So I will use a capsule above the text as an alternative. I prefer this to just color coding so I don't have to remember what colors stand for each verb tense.

Good detective work, Tim. Perhaps this will help the folks at Logos figure out how to improve this specific feature.

Wondering about capsule image size ? Curious if Text Before highlighting performs better, which could be superscripted with font styling similar to capsules.

Option with color coding is having highlighting open for coding key; thread has an example screen capture => http://community.logos.com/forums/p/44026/327699.aspx#327699
Thankful for Logos 4 highlighting options.
