Do any of you use Logos 4 (Android App) successfully on the Samsung Galaxy Tablet? I'm considering the 7" bc I don't want to lug around a computer. Net book would be great, but the technology is going out the window. Thanks for your help. Angelia
I know nothing about the tablet, but I would encourage you to wait until early march. Apple is likely releasing the iPad 3 and may continue to sell the iPad 2 at a reduced price point. Even if you don't want an iPad for some reason, it could push prices further down.
Hi Angelia
Have you looked in the Android forum? --> http://community.logos.com/forums/96.aspx
where there is at least one thread about "best" Tablet --> http://community.logos.com/forums/t/41559.aspx
Yes on the Galaxy Tab 10.1, but I think it's best to look in the Android forum where they can help you think about functionality and options.
Net book alternative is an Ultrabook; several forum threads discuss Apple's MacBook Air => Mac Air 11 vs.13 , => Macbook Air , => Advice re:MacBook Air
MacBook Air weighs close to 3 pounds, which is more than nearly 1 pound for Samsung Galaxy Tab. However, Logos 4 can run on Mac Book Air, which has lots more features than Logos app on Android.
Tablet alternative is Apple's iPad; the Logos app for iOS has more features than Android; feature parity is planned.
Apple offers refurbished iPad's => http://store.apple.com/us/browse/home/specialdeals/ipad with same warranty as new. Anticipating refurbished iPad price drops when Apple releases iPad 3 later this year (perhaps in a month or two).
Keep Smiling [:)]
Hi Angelia,
If you intend to use Logos on the app for "heavy lifting," the app itself (regardless of tablet platform) isn't ready for primetime. Some sort of REALLY light "airbook" (very lightweight notebook) is really your only option if that's what you're after...
As a pastor, I couldn't do all I need to do on any tablet, as yet.
But for reading, any of the tablets will work & KS4J has already pointed you to the android forum thread on "best android tablet", & for ios, you really only have one choice... I understand the ios tablet to be a bit more complete (compared to android), but I understand both platforms still to be unfinished works.
Blessings on your decision...
