SUGGESTION - Clicking on Notes symbol should behave like clicking on Footnote symbol

Ideally, clicking on a Notes symbol should produce the same kind of results that clicking on a Footnote symbol would produce.
When you hover over a Footnote letter, you can read the footnote. If you then click on the Footnote letter, the Footnote text is fixed on the screen, and you can then hover over any hyperlinks to read them, or click on those hyperlinks to open the linked resource to that location. For example, below, I can click on the "w" by verse 16 and fix the footnote on the screen, so I can then hover over the hyperlink Lev 3:17 to see the text to that verse or open a Bible to that location.
Personal Notes should work the same way, but they don't. Right now, when you click on the Note Symbol, it opens the Notefile resource, instead of fixing the Note text on the screen. It would be better to to click on the Note Symbol, and have the Note text fixed on the screen, so you could then hover over the links to read them, or click on the links to open them. The title of the Notefile is always shows at the bottom of the Note popup, so that could easliy be automatically made into a hyperlink that a person could click if they wanted to open the entire Notefile.
In my Note to Dt 12:16, I have hyperlinks to the JPS commentary, as well as to various Scriptures:
It would be very nice (and also consistent with Footnotes in Logos) if I could just click on the little square Notes symbol by vs. 16 to fix the note text on the screen, and the be able to hover over my embedded hyperlinks (JPS and the various Scripture refs) to either read the text or to click on them to open the resource. Always having to open the Notes file is a pain. I covers up another panel of valuable screen real estate, and then you have to do a cntrl-click to open. Just confusing and unnecessary. It would be better have the filename text in the lower right corner of the Note popup be a hyperlink to open the Notefile. That would give users an easy option to open it, but would not make it the default action.

Wyn - I think you are right. If this were implemented, it would be good to have a control / click combo to go straight to the note file.

It is a good suggestion! Please make user-created notes first-class citizens.

I would like to add to this good suggestion that this ability should not require us to enable the Note Indicator, but should work directly from the note highlight. Currently, I don't see a way to get to the highlight notes without first enabling the Note Indicator. If I'm missing something, please enlighten me.

I am not sure I understand your question… Are you asking how to open a note file? If so, this is done under the file menu. Start typing the name of the file under "open." You can also type "note" and all your note files will appear. Click on the one you want to open.
If this is not what you were wanting to know, please rephrase the question. [:)]

Concur, can right click to remove annotation (highlight), but not edit nor open.
Logos User Voice suggestion => Highlighting and Notes Integration Improvements includes:
When right click on a Highlighted word, please add Edit Annotation and Open Annotation while keeping Remove Annotation. Open Annotation would position note file to annotation plus open note file, if needed.
Keep Smiling [:)]
