Logos V4 Update - fails consistently

Everytime that I start Logos V4 it informs me that there is an update - when I select to install the update it eventually gets to this popup. Retry returns me to the popup. My only recourse is to cancel the update.

I have rebooted without any change.

This is on Windows 7 (32-bit)

My first thought is to verify that you are logged into your machine properly. I've not had this problem with L4 but did with another program a while back. Looking at your image I would think you would have to be logged in as Lionel.

I am logged in as Lionel and I am the only account on the pc. L4 did install cleanly and I have no problems with other software.

I'll keep trying and see what I find. It works fine on my bride's computer.

I turned off my antivirus and tried again. Then I went looking and found the file - it seems the file is zero (0) bytes and I was able to delete it manually and saw it recreated when i clicked retry

If your original installation was done via "Run as Admin" then you will require the same elevation for Updates. The recommended solution is uninstall completely then reinstall without elevation, but I would not do so as long as you have a workable installation (If it ain't broke .....).

Dave thanks. The original install was done as normal user so I'm not sure what you suggest will help. I may try it as a last resort at some point.
