I got my Platinum DVD in the mail yesterday, it's in the DVD drive.
I installed the version on the DVD last night but it hung so I gave up and went to bed.
I downloaded the latest build this morning and tried to install it. It hung at the loging in, I used the 2 terminal commands that were on the forum and it logged in.
Now there is just a box that says "Waiting on Indexer" the blue icon at the top suggests that both indexing and downloading is happening. However, the activity monitor reveals that not much is going on with either the processor or the Network. Any ideas how to proceed? Occasionally the DVD player hums, but it doesn't sound like it's pulling book files off it.
