Is it possible to permanently remove some of the books that are not being used.
Removing books in Logos is unfortunately called "hiding" them. If you scroll to the bottom of your preferences menu, there is a box to put unwanted resources, which removes them from your hard drive (but maintains the licenses). To do this, float your library window and drag resources into the "hidden resources" box in preferences. Once you have moved the books into the box, you will need to restart the app.
NOTE: If you don't want Perseus at all, you can call logos and ask them to remove the license. This is the easiest way.
Paul, a perennial question since this collection came out. The answer is that Logos can remove collections if there are some of the large Perseus offering you no longer want, say the Civil War collection. If the volumes you don't want are some of a collection but not all of it you can remove them by hiding them. Go to Program Settings and Hidden Resources at the bottom.
Unfortunately you must drag them one at a time to Hidden Resources. There is a technique to hide up to ten at one time here: http://community.logos.com/forums/p/41127/306582.aspx
Once you hide resources you must close and reopen Logos and they will be deleted from your hard drive and your Library.
Here is a link to hide up to 10 resources at once:

And here's a trick that Mark Barnes discovered for hiding 10 resources at a time, which speeds up the process if you've got a lot that you want to hide:

Wow amazing how Mark, Alabama and Rosie all posted this useful tip at 10:53! [:D]
[:)] I didn't notice that. I have seen two posts at once, but this is the first time I have seen 3 with the same link!
If the reason you wish to remove the Perseus books is to eliminate them from search results, then the easiest way is to build a collection less the Perseus books. * ANDNOT perseus will do the trick..
Wiki has => Example Collections with a number of Perseus collections, including:
