I want to pick up a couple of Piper books before the sale closes. What are your favorites among the ones listed in the sale?
Huge Piper fan here. Piper's works fall into a few categories:
Piper is best known for his "Christian Hedonism." In my opinion, the most mature form of the philosophy is found in God is the Gospel, not in the better-known Desiring God.
Piper also has written a ton on weighing eternity against our relatively short lifespan. Don't Waste Your Life and Life as a Vapor are the two best. (The exact same themes bleed over into Don't Waste Your Cancer, Life Sentence, Retirement, etc)
Brothers, we are not professionals is required reading at many seminaries in pastoral studies (including mine).
Future Grace is a direct response to NT Wright on the New Perspective on Paul.
Actually, Future Grace looks more devotional.
The book you were thinking of sounds like The Future of Justification: A Response to N T Wright (Crossway, 2007).

It is difficult to pick out a favourite Piper book as I have found so many of them insightful, inspirational and challenging.
If I had to pick a handful, I would go with the loose 'trilogy' of Desiring God, The Pleasures of God and Future Grace.
It is worth noting, however, that Desiring God is not currently available on mobile devices.

I remember hearing Piper once say (maybe in a sermon?) that his books are all basically the same. That's hyperbole, but it shows that he does write on the same themes over and over.

Right you are! Sorry for the brain fart.
Piper's devotional works are all very similar (Desiring God, Don't Waste Your _______, etc). His other works, however are more vaired. The Justification of God is a very serious exegetical work on Romans 9 and The Future of Justification, as mentioned earlier, responds to NPP.
