okay, I'm still lost
Logos Bible Software 4.5b Beta 6 (4.52.0.2109)
But while I'm getting the notes, I'm not getting the filter option or a green flag...
It's been a long day. I don't want to have to actually think.

It's the same for me (even now, after several restarts of L4 and the PC). But I can see your note now with the ESV located at Phil 4:2 without selecting text. So it got better.
Maybe we could try to find out where the differentiator is between thos who see and those who don't.
- I use Windows 7 Home Edition, 32 bit (Windows 6.1 Build 7601 Service Pack 1) - could it be the OS?
- I'm sitting in Europe. Regional IP-filtering by the cloud service? Could this be the strange "Windows N" thing from the release notes? But I could play videos even in Beta 5!
- My base package is Catholic Scholars - wasn't there a display of highest base package in Help/About? That's empty for me! Could this be the differentiator?
Have joy in the Lord!

I can see MJ's entry at Philippians 4:2, I get the visual filter and I see the green flag.
I am running WIndows 7 Home Premium (build 7601) and in the UK.
My base package is Platinum.

Thanks, Graham. So, maybe it's the base package then (I checked on the Windows 7 N thing: after verifying my installation I could download app. 300 MB to be told: this update is not for your machine).
Graham, does the base package display in Help/About work for you?
@MJ: what about yours?

Graham, does the base package display in Help/About work for you?Yes - I get the base package displayed in "Help About"
I would be surprised is this is the issue - but always possible!
Graham
It seems to be they tweaked the Visual Filters Code to show this (Rosie detected another welcome addition to the FV menu that came with Beta 6 - and doesn't work for me) - so maybe someone used a code that asks for the presence of a base package. Or it's unrelated - that's Beta.

I do have my base package showing ... but it's not what I wanted (Platinum Catholic Portfolio)[;)] it's just what I own.[:(]

Okay, so this maybe was a rabbit trail.
Can you see the new Visual Filter option for search results Rosie found? (see e.g. here http://community.logos.com/forums/t/48372.aspx ).
Graham, you?

No, I can't see this Visual Filter option.

No, I can't see this Visual Filter option.
That doesn't actually exist. It was a bozo user artifact. (I'd created a VF named "Search Results" to play around with at one point and forgot all about it.) Duh!
Maybe we could try to find out where the differentiator is between thos who see and those who don't.
I do not remember if anyone has mentioned differing versions:
But I can also see "M.J's" note in NIV 2011 (whatever the newest one is called) in Phil 4:2:
Windows 7 Pro, Service Pack 1 here in Canada.
Yes my base package also shows up in the Help/About.

Update on this: the bug is related to the Faithlife group memberships - Bradley investigated my logs and informed over in the PC Beta forum that L4 Beta 6 can't show the Community Notes indicators if one is member in any group that is a type "Discussion Topic".
I can confirm that leaving these groups and restarting L4 fixes the problem.
Have joy in the Lord!
MJ. Have you tried restarting the software?

MJ - You did scroll down, didn't you? Just checking. [:)]

Unfortunately yes to both - restart and scroll down. I can even make community notes

Why are my normal responses missing -- fallacy, idjit, heresy...?
