Way to turn off search results highlighting in a book where hits were found, without closing Search

Often I want to find places to start reading, and the search result highlights are a distraction. I don't want to close the Search tab yet because there are more hits I want to explore later and I don't want to run the search again.
Or another time I would like to use this is when I want to take a screenshot from a book where I've found something (e.g., to post on the forum for someone), and I don't want the search result highlights to show up in the screenshot. And again I'm not ready to dismiss the Search tab.
I was thinking there was already a way to do this, but I can't find it so I must have been mistaken.

+1 [Y] Wonder about adding a check box under three circles ? (seems search results are similar to visual filters)

Wow! That was the fastest new feature implementation I've ever seen! It just showed up in 4.5b Beta 6 two weeks after I'd mentioned it here, with nary a peep from Logos that they were planning to do it. And nothing in the Release Notes about it either, at least not as of tonight (they sometimes edit them later).

NB.Mick is also saying it's not working for him on Windows, and we haven't yet figured out what's different about our two installations that would cause this feature to work for me but not him.

Correction, I guess it's just for the specially idiotic people. I had made a VF named "Search Results" a while back for some reason as an experiment (perhaps to make a screenshot describing what I'd like to see?) and had forgotten all about it. See http://community.logos.com/forums/p/48367/358688.aspx#358688
Bummer!
Well, back to square one. I still want this feature!
