Library types different on 2 machines

I installed a few days ago on 2 machines (home & work), but the library types are different on them. On one the dictionaries show as type dictionary, but on the other they show as encyclopedia. I saw that there was a change to the metadata a while back for these types, but how do I get them to be the same on both machines?

Yes there was a change in type but it was a long time ago.

How did you install on the 2 machines? Was it over the Internet?

Do you have Logos set up to automatically download updates and to use the Internet? These are controlled in the Program Settings menu accessible from the Tools Menu

Both were installed over the Internet, both are set to use the Internet, but both have automatic updates off. I have however run the Update Now command on both. I even uninstalled, and completely removed all content on one machine and reinstalled today. On this machine the types are dictionary, which I believe is incorrect (should be encyclopedia?).

I have a faint memory that corrected metadata is only sent out once a week (Wednesdays?). Wait a couple of days and then run Update Now again, and it will hopefully correct itself.

I can certainly wait, and see if that fixes it. I'm a bit doubtful that will help. Both were initially installed on the same day, this past Sunday.

Below is a screen shot from one machine. My understanding is that most of the type Dictionary should be type Encyclopedia, correct?

Interesting list!

The top two - Dictionary of Biblical Languages ... should be Lexicons, as should the New American Standard Hebrew-Aramaic and Greek Dictionaries

Merriam-Webster should be a Dictionary

Dictionary of Bible Themes should be a Bible Concordance - even though it shows as an Encyclopedia.

All the rest should be Encyclopedia.

So I think the problem is wider than the Dictionary / Encyclopedia mismatch.

If I had to guess it looks as though the type definition database had become corrupted and needs to be replaced - but this needs someone to comment who knows much more than I do about what files are safe to play with!

This is a problem I first experienced 12 months ago when reinstalling http://community.logos.com/forums/t/34778.aspx It took over a month to auto-correct, but it took a few days this year http://community.logos.com/forums/t/45015.aspx

So don't do anything with the databases; just restart Logos 4 a couple of times a day.

Logos should have fixed this by now!

This appears to be fixed in 4.5b RC2 - see the release notes http://wiki.logos.com/Logos_4.5b_RC_2

You can download it as per the thread at the top of this Forum or wait until it is officially released.

Thanks Dave for following up. Since this isn't causing any real problems, just a bit of an annoyance, I think I'll wait for the official release. I didn't see anything that inidcated when it may be officially released. Do you know?
