Syntax features unavailable
I have SESB 3
One of the functions of SESB 3 is that you can do a syntax search in the *BHS: WIVU Syntactic Analysis Database* (part of SESB 3 under Libronix 3.0f
I have installed the free Logos 4.
Now I cannot do a syntax search. If I click on Search-Syntax there is a message: *Syntax features are currently disable because the necessary resources are currently unavailable*
Can somebody tell me what this means?

Did you downloaded and index resources (takes a long time)?
Is L3 installed and working?

Yes, I downloaded L4 and index resources.
L3 is still installed on the same PC and working.

I've seen the message that syntax resources were not available even after I had finished indexing. I shut down Logos and launched the application again. When I tried again I was able to search my syntax databases (i don't have SESB though)

In your Resource folder, \Logos4\Data\{random}\ResourceManager\Resources, do you see any of these file types:-
*.lbssyn (Syntax database)
*.lbxclv (Clause Analysis/Visualization, which should be in your Library)

I have tried it several times, but I still cannot search my syntax database. I did wait till the indexing was finished - after a very long time.

No, Dave, I do not see any of the two (lbssyn or lbxclv).

Do you think you are missing other resources from L3? How many roughly (NB. L4 does not handle/import PBB resources at this time). Go to Library in L4 and it will show you how many resources on the RHS of its Find bar. Is L4 otherwise working OK?
I would think the free install would give you all you had in L3, but this is a matter you may have to take up with Logos Support.

There is 462 books in my library. I have found one lbxclv-file, wivucgraphs.lbxclv. This far I do not know of resources I am missing.
But it is a real problem for my that the syntax function do not work, because I am a researcher and this is the reason why I have bought SESB
Is it possible to reindex and how?

Re-index won't accomplish anything when files (the syntax database) are missing. You need to take this up with Logos support.

What version of Logos4 are you running? If you're not running SR-6 yet, you can get it by running this:
http://downloads.logos.com/LBS4/LDLS4Installer/Logos4Setup.exe
IF you already have it, type "update resources" in the command bar. It'll take a while and hopefully it'll find missing resources. If it does, it will add them to the library, and index if needed. I picked up a Lexham Syntactic Greek NT last night that the regular "update now" command didn't get.

SESB is a product of the German Bible Society, and was built on Logos 3. While many of the SESB resources work with Logos 4, it has not been updated specifically for Logos 4, and its syntax databases have not been rebuilt to work in the Logos 4 framework.
