Base package confusion

A few years ago I purchased the Catholic Bible Study package based on Logos v3. I jumped at the opportunity to upgrade to v4 only to find out this package is no longer available and I find myself a smidge confused as to which base package to buy. I'd like to not lose any of the books I have already but don't want to pay a fortune I don't have to get a base package and/or additional books to keep the same set. Are there recommendations for someone like me, or maybe am I just worrying over nothing?

The nice thing about Logos is that you will not lose any books. They will be upgraded for you and included with whatever package you get for L4. If you are looking for the cheapest route to L4 the minimal upgrade would be your choice.

Be mindful that the minimal upgrade does not include things like infographics.

True. And there are some functional differences as well. E.g. I don't think you can compare versions in the Text Comparison view, Only view them side by side. It seems like there would be a better universal name than "text comparison".

Another thought is that it might be worth your while to call on this one. Since there is not direct crossgrade for your previous package they might cut you a deal of some kind. (but if they ask who told you that, just say it was TC)

As others said, you loose nothing if you upgrade.

Assuming your licenses are all up to date and synchronized (you can do that from within Libronix - AKA Logos3), just go to www.logos.com and let Logos make a suggest your possible upgrades for you. Look over the options and decide what it is you really want. While you will probably have resources you don't want/need, the deals are so good that even if you want only a few, it's better to buy a package than purchase them separately. Even upgrading to the lowest package will get you some new stuff that's only available in L4.

EDIT: Make sure you are signed in to the Logos site with your Logos ID (usually the email address you used when you first purchased a Logos product)

There ought be an upgrade package for you as the Catholic Bible Study package was a Logos package. On this one occasion, I would follow the advice of Philip and Thomas (I don't normally recommend that) and call someone at Logos.

If you spell out your particular needs / desires, we could possibly help you to narrow down which would be the best package for you.

The Catholic package was not a likely a "base package", but a number of Catholic books that were put together in a collection. There have been other specific collections that have been marketed in recent history (counseling, apologetics, etc.). Normally they don't upgrade these collections. You should still have full access to all your books in Logos 4. You might acquire if you can buy the minimum upgrade. That would give you some of the specific Logos 4 resources that were developed. But you would be best consulting Logos and seeing what are your specific options.
