Am I doing something wrong?

I have been trying to search reading lists for some time now and it doesn't seem to be working. So I am wondering if I am doing something wrong. I pull up reading lists then in the box that says find I will enter a word that relates to a reading list I have seen before such as the word "Luke". It always responds with "First 0 reading lists found" and nothing is displayed. Am I doing something wrong or is there a problem with the software?

I am not an expert with reading list, but this is my understanding.

A reading list will only show in the search results if you

Search something that is in the Logos Controlled Vocabulary Database
The word that you are searching is in the title of the reading plan

I would not be surprised that I am wrong (very wrong) here.

Never-the-less, here is a screen print on why I think search searches this way (I did two searches with something that was in the LCVD, and the reading list only came up once):

Searching within Logos4 isn't very productive.

Reading Lists are basically a special Wiki setup on a Logos server. So using a browser is your best method for searching for a Reading List topic.

1. From inside Logos4 and in a Reading List tab, click on any reading list topic
[Or open your browser to: http://topics.logos.com/ then skip to step #3]

2. In the Reading List toolbar of Logos4 click on Edit. This will make Logos4 open Reading List in your browser (it will not create an edit session).

3. In the search box, type your search term and click on the magnifying glass.
[Try using a search term like baptist the first time to see several results]

Now you see the search results. They show if your search term was found in the Title or within the body of the article. If you click on one of the search results it opens it in your browser. Within a topic you can click on books which are showing an open lock or links to Logos, then your browser will instruct Logos4 to open that book to that location inside of Logos4.

It certainly looks that way. I wrote a bug report in the Mac forum: BUG: Can't find existing RL's.

Not your fault, of course, but a) this method wastes an awful lot of time, b) someone like me with only 2GB of RAM can't work in Logos and Safari at the same time, and c) without the RL open in Logos you can't check the box after you've read something, which kind of defeats the whole purpose with RL's. I also have a faint memory of having tried this method in the past without finding what I knew should be there.
