Here's the situation: Let's say I'm studying the Beatitudes in Matthew 5. I have a group of Bibles open in one panel, all of them linked to "A." Then in another panel I have a group of commentaries, all of them also linked to "A." Therefore, when I move through Matthew 5, all the other Bibles and commentaries stay open to the relevant passage. I think this is the setup which Logos and Morris Proctor proudly laud with such enthusiasm.
The problem comes when I "page down" in the commentary I'm reading, only to find that I was at the end of that section, and the next paragraph in the commentary skips to the next chapter or even some obscure item in a sidebar. All the Bibles and other commentaries dutifully follow to the new Bible passage referenced in that commentary. In the absence of a "Go back" button (similar to most internet browsers), I have to retype "Matt 5" in the address field, and then remember exactly where I was in Matthew 5 so that all the commentaries go back to where I was last reading them.
SIMPLE SOLUTION: Make possible "one-way" linking. The commentaries would follow the Bibles, but not the other way around.
OTHER SOLUTIONS: However, I suspect many others have been frustrated by this situation, and have figured out various ways of getting around it. Please share your solutions.
