How do I close ALL open panes/windows at once?

I may have missed this somewhere, but I need help with an elementary
question.

After I type in a passage on the home page and click
"Go," a slew of windows/panes open at once.

Q: Is there a way to
close ALL of the windows/panes at once via single click or keyboard
shortcut?

One way to do this is to type "close all" without the quotes in the command line.

To make this a single click type it into the command bar without hitting enter, and drag and drop the "close all" selection from the drop down menu to the shortcut bar.
